Second Chance At Love

Chapter 12

Sounds of the coffee machine could be heard, accompanied by the voices of his employee and a customer. 

Jimin grabbed a cup of fresh coffee and a slice of rich chocolate cake for himself and headed for the break room. 

He had been at the counter till now, taking up order after order as the humans rushed into the cafe for their daily dose of survival. When the morning rush finally subsided, he decided to take a breath. 

He sips his coffee and chats with Hoseok, laughing as his friend complains about his boyfriend. 

Hoseok wants to go see this new Marvel movie with Yoongi, but the other man doesn't want to leave his studio. He just got a new inspiration and doesn't want to leave till he makes use of that.

In the end, Hoseok is going with Jungkook, as always giving up, because as much as Hoseok loves to complain, he loves Yoongi too much to interrupt his creative process. 

As Jimin takes the last sip of his now almost cold coffee and licks the chocolate remaining on the plate, he wishes to have someone in his life too, with whom he can have what Hoseok has with Yoongi or what Namjoon has with Seokjin. 

Just then, there is a knock on the door. He looks up just as the door opens to reveal the man who had been on his mind constantly these days. The man he unconsciously imagines himself with, to have what Hoseok has with Yoongi or what Namjoon has with Seokjin. 

"Taehyung!" 

"Hi!" 

They greet each other with dazzling smiles and a tight hug, a long one too, now that no one is here to interrupt them.

"How have you been?" Jimin asks when they pull away. 

"Just as good as I was three days ago and this morning when we talked." Taehyung teased. 

Jimin blushed in embarrassment, realising just how stupid of a question it was. He and Taehyung talk every day. Of course, he knows how the other man is doing. 

In his embarrassment, he hit the other's arm lightly while grumbling, "Shut up". 

"What I meant was..what are you doing here?" 
 
"Sure..that's what you meant."
 
Taehyung laughed loudly as he evaded another hit from Jimin, this one definitely not light. 

"Okay! Sorry!" 

Jimin looked at him for a few seconds with a pout before smiling, Taehyung mimicking his expression. 

"So...I came to invite you to our fifth date.." 

At this, Jimin's face immediately brightened. 

"Oh! Where are we going this time?" 

Taehyung hesitated before groaning loudly. This surprised Jimin. 

"The thing is..I wanted it to be a surprise. I already got the tickets and I was supposed to pick you up tomorrow and then surprise you, but.."  

The other man looked at Taehyung expectantly for him to continue. 

"I got a call today..I have to go to the headquarters tomorrow for some time, so I won't be able to pick you up tomorrow..you'll have to go there yourself, and I'll meet you there." 

Oh... 

"You were worried about that? You're so silly! I can go there by myself. You don't have to pick me every time!" Jimin laughed, relieved. He thought something serious had happened. 

"But.." Taehyung whined, but Jimin shushed him. 

"So tell me, where are we going tomorrow?" He asked excitedly.
