Chapter 15

"WHAT ?" 

Taehyung flinched at Jimin's scream. He looked nervously at the smaller man who was currently going back and forth between the two walls of his cafe. 

Jimin finally let out a distressed sigh and sat on the chair in front of Taehyung. He looked up at the other man who was on the verge of going into a breakdown himself. 

He was the one who wanted to give all the time to Jimin, all the space Jimin needed, he never wanted to push Jimin into anything and now here he was, with this absurd request. 

Now, the most important question is what this absurd request is?

It all started when Namjoon and Seokjin were visiting Taehyung's parents one day, and Seokjin being the loud mouth, he accidentally told Taehyung's mother about Jimin. 

Now Taehyung's parents are under the misconception that Jimin is Taehyung's 'boyfriend', and they feel betrayed that their own son didn't introduce them to his boyfriend first. 

So, immediately an order or rather a threat was given to the poor Captain of the Korean Special Forces by the General of his family, his mother, that he had to present his boyfriend to his parents next weekend or she wouldn't even look at his face the next time he came home. 

And he knew damn well that his mother was very capable of doing that. 

No amount of apologies from Seokjin could resolve the situation. The deed was already done and a certain Kim Taehyung was paying the price now as he told Jimin about the situation.

When Jimin heard the bell on his cafe door jingle at nine in the evening, indicating the entry of a guest and saw Kim Taehyung, he immediately rushed to him to greet him with a big smile. 

He expected the other man to give him some flowers and ask him out for their eighth date. What he didn't expect though, was Taehyung asking him to meet his parents. 

As Taehyung recited everything that happened anxiously and how his mother had threatened him, Jimin stood there like an inanimate object, his face expressionless. 

He didn't know how to act..what to say? They had only been on seven dates. Jimin had just started to realize that he liked Taehyung, they weren't even in a relationship and most important of all...he wasn't ready for something more just yet...so meeting Taehyung's parents..so early..it freaked him out and the only thing he could say or scream after rant was.. 

"WHAT ?"

And this brings us to our current situation with Jimin and Taehyung looking at each other with matching frowns on their faces. 

Taehyung was losing his mind, scared that he might have finally freaked Jimin out and lost his chance to be with the other man completely. 

Meanwhile, Jimin was scared because he didn't know what to do in a situation like this. He..liked Taehyung but they weren't anything..they were just friends..so how could he meet Taehyung's parents? 

After long moments of silence, Jimin finally made up his mind. He cleared his throat affectively, catching Taehyung's attention. 

Taehyung looked at Jimin nervously waiting for the smaller man to speak. 

"Meeting your parents..is a big step, Taehyung, and given our situation..this meeting is not appropriate..." 

He paused to take a deep breath, then continued. 

"But...taking into consideration your situation...I'll meet your parents." 

This had Taehyung's eyes widening.
