Second Chance At Love

Chapter 9

The call for the second date came much sooner than Jimin expected. He thought that Taehyung might take a bit of time, like he did for the first date. But the man couldn't wait after a successful first date, so he called Jimin only two days later.

Jimin had just reached home when the call came. After seeing the caller's name, he hurriedly removed his shoes and attended the call while making his way to the sofa to talk calmly.

"Hello?"

"Hey Jimin-ah! How have you been?"

"I have been really good..my days are going well thanks to someone nice."

"Someone nice? Who?" Taehyung asked, completely clueless.

Jimin laughed loudly at the other's clueless and slightly jealous voice. He replied when he finally calmed down and also because Taehyung had started to whine on the other side.

"I was talking about you! My mood has been good because of our..date..seriously you are so cute Taehyung-ah!"

"Aahh..." Taehyung blushed on the other side, realising Jimin was talking about him. He was thankful that it was a voice call instead of a video call.

"Yeah...so what did you call for?"

"Oh! I almost forgot the most important thing...actually I called you to ask you out on a second date..so...what do you say?" He didn't know why he was nervous, he knew Jimin would accept but he couldn't help it.

"Well...text me the time and place...I'll be ready."

That night Jimin slept with a big smile on his face, which has become a common thing these days thanks to a certain nice person.

It hadn't been long since he met Taehyung but the other had already started affecting his life in a good way. He sincerely hopes that things work out with Taehyung. Because, for the first time in two years, he sees hope.

This time, Taehyung picks him up at four in the evening from the cafe. They greet each other with big smiles.

When they both buckled up, Taehyung started the car and off they went.

They asked each other questions, how their day was, what they were about these days. Jimin was, as usual, busy at the cafe and Taehyung..was doing nothing. As he was on a break currently, he didn't really have anything to do except relax.

He tells Jimin how he just explores the city more, meets his comrades sometimes, like the previous day.

They went out for drinks and one of his team members got so drunk that he couldn't even recognize his own wife when she came to pick him up. How he created a whole ruckus that he was being kidnapped and only quitened down when his wife screamed at him to shut up.

Jimin laughed for a whole five minutes listening to the story. Though what he found even more funny and amusing than the story was how Taehyung changed his expressions and voice while telling the story.

It was quite a while after that when Jimin asked a question.

"Oh..I forgot to ask, where are we going?"

"We are going to Lotte World! A new place opened up there so I thought we could check it out and have a nice dinner after that..what do you say?" Taehyung replied all the while focusing on the road.

"It's perfect!" Jimin said with a smile.

Oh, but it wasn't perfect. Because the new place at Lotte World was a haunted house and Jimin despised them and he was about to tell exactly that to Taehyung.

But when he turned to his left to look at the other man, he saw such excitement on his face which reminded him of a child, that he couldn't bring himself to refuse.
