I looked out of the window as we turned down a dirt road. There were a couple cars parked in different places and an old, worn out looking bus was there too. In front of the bus, there was a table set up with two people, a man and a woman, sitting behind it. There were a few papers on the table. I guess they were part of the camp staff and were getting us signed in.

"I don't remember it saying that you needed to take a bus anywhere," my dad said. I shook my head.

"I don't either. Maybe someone took the bus here?"

"I don't know. We'll find out." My dad parked and we got out of the car, grabbed my stuff and walked over to the table. I glanced around at the different people standing around with their families. There weren't many people here for this to be such a big camp. I hadn't even been here for five seconds and I was already getting bad vibes.

I glanced over at one girl with purple hair. She had a worried look on her face. She went to open her mouth but her mom placed a hand on her shoulder, shaking her head. I thought that was very suspicious. It gave me the feeling I shouldn't be here and that I should leave while I still had the chance. But I knew it was too late when one of the camp members started speaking.

"Hello there," the woman said with shorter blonde hair. "What is your name?" Something told me not to say my name but it came out anyway.

"Amelia Williams."

"Williams..." She looked through a few papers. "Ah, here we are." She pulled out a piece of paper. "This is your camp schedule." I glanced down at the sheet I was just given. We had different activities we would do everyday.

"And here are a few papers your parents need to fill out." The guy said. He had black hair and bright blue eyes. My dad moved to his side of the table and started signing the papers. I couldn't help but feel as if he was signing my life away. I know he wasn't. I'm sure I'm just over reacting. I've watched too many horror movies about camps and since this is the first time I was ever going to a camp, I guess I just had an idea in my head. I'm sure this isn't going to be horrible. I know I'm going to have a great time and make some new friends.

I looked around to find everyone staring at me, whispering amongst themselves. I looked down at the ground and then over at Chelsea and Levi who ran over to me. I knelt down and hugged them.

"I'm going to miss you guys so much," I said.

"We're going to miss you too," Chelsea said.

"Don't forget about us," Levi said with tears forming.

"I will never forget about you guys. I love you too much."

"I love you too," both Levi and Chelsea said in unison. I stood up and hugged my parents.

"If you want, you can go stand over by your car. We're waiting on a few more people at the moment so you have a few more minutes with each other," the woman said, smiling.

"Alright, thank you," Dad said. We walked back over to our car, standing by it. I looked around at all the people that were here. They were still looking at me, however, when I made eye contact with them, they immediately looked away. I felt Levi tug on my shorts a little. I looked down, picking him up. Chelsea then came up to me and grabbed onto my hand. I felt like such a mom. Speaking of which, my mom noticed the position I was in and took a picture of us.

"That's going to be the family Christmas card." She smiled. I giggled.

We waited for about another five minutes when two more cars pulled in. In the first one, a girl with red hair got out. She was wearing a baseball cap backwards and long, black pants. She looked cool. In the second, a chubbier boy got out. He looked around with a look of concern on his face. They both walked over to the table and did the same things we did when we got here. They were also told to go back to their cars and wait.

"Alright," the man eventually said. "Welcome campers and parents. My name is Jeremy. I'm one of the counselors here and this is Grace, another wonderful counselor."

"Hello," the woman said, giving us a slight wave.

"We are so glad to see you guys. I see a few familiar faces and some new ones which is amazing. We always love to see new faces. Anyway, this is the drop off area. We do have about another hour and a half drive to the camp, but we figured that is a long way for some people so we decided to have a drop off zone. We also figured this would be a great time to meet everyone and see who all else there is and meet some new people. So, this is your time to say goodbye to your families and bring your stuff over to the bus when you are ready. Although you do have a fifteen minute period to do all of this, use it wisely. Again, thank you so much for coming, we're glad to have you." He finished his speech with a smile, walking around to the other side of the bus.

"Well, this is it-"

"I don't want to go," I said, turning to my parents cutting my dad off. They both looked at me.

"Why?" Mom asked.

"Because I don't like the vibes I'm getting."

"You just watch too many horror movies. You'll be fine," Dad said.

"Yeah. You're going to have lots of fun and meet a lot of new people," Mom added. I sighed. Maybe they were right. Maybe I was just over reacting and I was about to have the time of my life. Besides, what's the worst that could happen? I mean, it's just camp, right?
