We entered the dining hall. Most of the boys had already gotten their plates and were sitting. And by looking at what they got, I didn't like the look of the food. Dear lord, I pray that it's good... and not poisoned. I walked over to the counter to see what they had.

"Meatloaf or pork?" the lady behind the counter asked. She was older and looked very annoyed. I glanced down at the two meats. They both looked horrible but I picked the one that looked slightly better.

"Pork," I said. She plopped the piece of meat on my plate. I thanked her before moving along in the line, which was self-serve, and got some rice, corn, and a roll. I walked over to the table Poppy and Rosie were sitting at.

"I don't trust this food," I said.

Poppy, who was just about to take a bite of her food said, "It's not that bad. It may look like it might kill you, but I'm still alive... mostly." I looked down at my food, poking it with my fork. I finally stabbed a piece of the pork and took a bite. Honestly, it didn't taste that bad.

"It looks worse than it tastes," I said. Poppy nodded.

"It really does." I took another bite of my food, looking around. The room was mostly wood furnished with picnic tables to sit at. There was a little stage with a karaoke machine and a microphone. I guess that was for karaoke night. Sitting at a table diagonal from me was Avery, Grace and Kendrick along with three guys. One of them was the guy I had made eye contact with on the bus. He had dirty blonde hair and, due to the horrible lighting, it looked like he had gray eyes although I know they were blue. Next to him sat a platinum blonde guy with bright blue eyes. His hair was cut shorter and seemed to be trimmed just perfectly. He looked older than everyone else and rich too. If rich was depicted as a picture, he would be it. Then on the other side of him was a curly haired brunette with brown eyes. He had a nice smile too.

I continued looking around. My eyes landed on a table with the chubby boy and a guy that was wearing a hat. They sat on one side of the table while the boy dressed in black with his hood up sat on the very end of it, listening to their conversation. Then there was Jeremy and Grace at a table talking. I didn't see the bus driver anywhere. Did he leave? He might have. I guess he didn't have to stay here. I wish I could have left with him.

It was almost six, according to the clock in the dining hall, when I finished eating. I put my plate away and sat back down at our table. Poppy was staring off into space and Rosie was on her phone.

"Do we not have to turn our phones in?" I asked. Rosie looked up at me.

"Oh, no we do. They just haven't taken them yet."

"Do you have service?"

"No. I'm reading this book my best friend wrote. I'm almost done with it. I'm hoping to finish it before they take our phones and stuff away."

"Oh," I said as she went back to reading. I pulled out my phone that I had in my pocket. I was going to see if I could get any service in here but my phone didn't turn on. I guess it died. It only had twenty-five percent left when we got here anyway, which I still thought was strange. I sighed, placing it on the table. There was no use in having it here anyway. With no signal, there was no way to contact anyone. Or do anything really other than it just being a burden.

"Alright kiddos," Jermey said. "It's time to give up your devices and have the greatest week of your lives. Grace is coming around to gather them." Since Grace was closest to us, we were the first ones she came to. I dropped my phone into the bag she held as she went around to all the tables. "Also, kiddos. Once you are done, head on out to the campfire area out front." Poppy, Rosie and I all stood up. We walked towards the door, stepping onto the porch. On the porch there were a few rocking chairs with a nice view of the green colored lake. Jeremy walked out past us, smiling.
