A mix of confused and concerned looks went around the circle.

"Has that happened in the past?" Kay asked. Jeremy pursed his lips to the side, looking over at Grace.

"Should I tell them?" he asked.

"Probably. Make them scared enough not to do it." Jeremy nodded.

"I don't know. One of them would be dumb enough to do it."

"Aye man. Have more faith in us," Blake said. Jeremy smiled.

"If you guys make it through the week without getting hurt in some sort of way, then I will."

"Fair enough. We can do it," Blake said, looking around. "Well, I can do it." There were a few comments.

"Anyway," Jeremy said, sitting down and leaning towards the fire a little. "A few years ago. I think it was my second year here as a counselor, we were done for the night. Everyone had headed back to their cabins. It was around two in the morning I think when a few of the campers came pounding on our cabin door. Of course me and the two other counselors at the time were like 'what the heck is going on'? So, we got up and I opened the door. About five campers came running into our cabin, quickly closing the door behind them. Some of them were crying. When we asked what happened they told us they had gone out into the woods when they weren't supposed to, obviously. They told us that one of the girls that had been with them suddenly went missing. When they were looking for her, they found her near the edge of the lake. Apparently her body had been scratched to pieces. By what? I don't know. And I still don't know to this day."

"Do you think it could have been a bear?"

"Or a wolf?"

"Shh, I'm not done telling the story," Jeremy complained. "I'll answer the questions later. Anyway, as counselors, of course we have to go out and look for her. We let the campers lead us to where she was but when we got there, there was nothing. No body and no blood. So we just figured the campers were messing with us and we started heading back to the cabins for the night. The next morning, when we got up. We were heading to the dining hall when someone screamed. When we got to where everyone was standing, they were all looking at the lake. There, in the lake, was the head of the girl that had gone missing."

There were a few gasps among the group.

"What did you do with her head?"

"Well, we had to get the campers into the dining hall. Then me and another guy came out here and looked around. We had to practically fish the poor girl's head out of the water. It was not fun. And due to the fact there is no signal here, one of us had to drive about an hour away to the nearest town to tell the authorities. They came and searched the area and the campers got sent home early. None of the campers that were there that year came back. I can't say I blame them."

"Yeah, I can't say I blame them either. I wouldn't come back," Matthew commented.

"But, you guys all get to come back as long as there are no accidents. So, now is the time for you guys to share any stories you have." I turned to Poppy.

"Weren't you going to tell one."

"Oh yeah. I've got one," Poppy said. "So, about two years ago, there was this girl that was wandering around in the woods one night and she got lost. She stopped where she was, looking around to see if there was anything that could help her find her way back to the camp. She decided to see if she could trace her footsteps. But since it was pitch black out and she couldn't see, she started following a set of footsteps that wasn't hers. She was eventually led to a cave where she found a bunch of weapons. Of course, since she had no idea what awaited her, she picked up one of the knives. In the end, there ended up being a killer in the cave who snuck around behind her and stabbed her with the knife she was holding."
