The Ties That Bind

Imrina's POV

Stefan still hasn't returned Klaus' family, even though he set his hybrids away. Along with Jackson. Which I am pisses about. I'm close to term and I want my husband to be there when I give birth to our cubs. He had to do a video call to be at my morning appointment today.

Now Klaus and I are at the Salvatore boarding house. Klaus is sitting in a chair, drinking alcohol. Music is blaring. As I relax on the couch. Stefan appears and turns the music down. "What are you both doing here, Klaus?" he asks.

"Enjoying our stalemate" Klaus tells him as he puts his drink down. He stands up to face Stefan.

"What do you want?" Stefan asks him.

"The question is what you want Stefan?" I ask him annoyed. "Klaus sent his hybrids away, along with the father of my children" I state.

"So please tell me what I need to do to get my family back" Klaus says.

"Well, see...Klaus...I'm not negotiating" Stefan tells him.

"And you understand, that holding them indefinitely is the same thing as dropping them in the ocean?" Klaus asks him.

"No, No. You leave Mystic Falls and then give me call in a few years and we'll talk" Stefan tells him.

"I can give you another chance. Just one more. Let's make a reasonable deal" Klaus tells him.

"Or what? You make one move and I will drop..." Stefan starts to threaten.

"Yes, right. Crazy Stefan. How is that working out for you? Any friends left?" Klaus asks with a laugh. "One chance Stefan, choose wisely" he says. Before he helps me stand and we left. We go to the grill, so that I could eat.

Klaus is on the phone to one of his hybrids. While I text Jackson while I enjoy my lunch. I miss you terribly I text.

As I miss you, but I promise to be back soon he assures me.

If you come back, Stefan dumps Elijah in the ocean I remind him.

Something tells me Elijah will be just fine, along with the others he tells me. I frown in confusion. What did he mean by that? I'll be back before you know it, take care of our cubs. I'll be back before their birth  he promises me.

I'll take good care of them, hope to see you soon I text back. He assures me we will see each other soon, before saying goodbye. I finish my lunch, before looking at Klaus. "What now?" I ask him curious.

"Daniel is doing his job, we need only wait to hear form the Salvatores or him" he states. I nod my head and we go to his house. About an hour later we get a call from Daniel, he had got the location of the coffins from Bonnie. Klaus went to collect them alone.

When he returned, he looked annoyed. "What happened?" I ask him.

"I only got three of the coffins, not all four. They took the locked one and stashed it somewhere else" he grumbles. "I can't wake my family until I have it" he states.

"We'll get it back" I assure him. As Daniel appears with the last coffin. "See you got your hybrids back, where's Jackson?" I ask curious. A pair of strong arms wrap around me.

"Miss me beautiful?" he asks. I turn and hug him tightly. "I missed you also" he tells me. Suddenly we hear a thud and turn to see Daniel dead. And Elijah standing behind him, a heart in hand. Klaus looks shocked.

"So Niklaus" he says.

"Elijah" we all say shocked.

"What did I miss?" Elijah asks Klaus ignoring Jackson and I. He drops the heart and cleans his hand. "You look surprised to see me. So it wasn't you that removed the dagger from my chest?" he says.

"You look like you could do with a drink. And we have a lot to discuss, so shall we?" Klaus asks him. Elijah attacks him. Klaus flies through a window.

"Stop them" I tell Jackson.

"Stay here" he tells me. He runs into the other room. "Enough!" he shouts. "This fighting is not good for Imarina in her condition" he snaps.

"Imarina's condition?" Elijah asks.

"Imarina!" Jackson calls and I enter the room. He stands beside me protectively. "Elijah, my wife Imarina" he says.

"You're pregnant, congratulations you two. How many?" Elijah asks with a smile.

"Three" I tell him with a smile. "By the way, Mikael is dead" I tell him.

"What?" he asks shocked.

"I killed him" Klaus tells him. "With his own weapon. He's gone Elijah. Forever" he explains.

"Then why do our family remain in these coffins? Finn for over 900 years, Kol for over a century" Elijah asks him.

"Because of Stefan Salvatore. He holds the one thing keeping me from freeing them" Klaus tells him. "There are things that you do not know about our past, Elijah. Our mother's death. Things I never wanted you to know but I'm ready to tell you now. I only ask that you remember the oath of loyalty you once swore to me" he states.

Klaus goes to a small table where there is a small urn and removes the lid. He dips the dagger inside then walks over to Kol's coffin. "What are you doing?" Elijah asks him. As Klaus redaggers Kol.

"Always and forever. I need you to stand by my side. Be my brother. Help me destroy Stefan and I promise you our family will be whole again" Klaus tells him. He closes Kol's coffin lid. Elijah swears and they go to talk. While Jackson and I went to bed.
