Rose's Death

Imarina's POV

I was sleeping soundly when Damon barges into my room. "Damon!" I yell pulling my cover tight around me.

"If I see something I haven't seen before I'll throw a nickle at it. Get dressed, Stefan's back and Elena made a deal with Elijah" he tells me.

"What?" I ask sitting up keeping myself covered. He doesn't answer and leaves. I groan in annoyances and get dressed. Then head downstairs and spot Stefan about to leave the house. "Leaving without saying hello?" I ask and he turns around.

"I didn't want to wake you" he states.

"To late Damon already did" I grumble. "Right now I need breakfast and to be away from Damon. Lets go" I say leaving the house. "So how did you get out?" I ask as he drives us into town.

"Elijah had his witches lift the spell when he made a deal with Elena" he states.

"Does that mean Katherine is gone?" I ask hopeful.

"Afraid not, she's still stuck in the tomb under Elijah's compulsion" he explains.

"At least you're free" I state as we arrive. We go inside and find Ric. I order myself breakfast and we join him. I then smell the she-wolf and Jaguar has me glare at her. The she-wolf glares back.

"Is that the-?" Stefan asks.

"Werewolf who bit Rose, yes and Jaguar wants to rip her throat out"  I grumble.

"I sent a message to Damon" Alaric tells us.

"So you're doing his dirty work for him now?" Stefan asks.

"Better him then Jaguar" I state.

"She could have a cure for Rose. I couldn't find anything in Isobel's research except that it's fatal" Ric explains.

'No cure exists yet' Jaguar tells me and I frown in confusion.

What do you mean? I ask her.

'Once there was a cure, but it does not exist anymore. Bu the time it does Rose will already be dead' she explains. I tune back into the conversation.

"Katherine said that Isobel knew of Klaus" Stefan tells Ric.

"So this isn't about Rose, it's about Elena. I have an old number, probably out of service" Ric tells him.

"No harm in giving it to me then?" Stefan asks.

"You know you can't trust Isobel, even when it comes to Elena" Ric tells him.

"I know that" Stefan assures him.

"Who is this Isobel?" I ask them.

"I'll leave you to explain, I'm gonna see if I can find the number. If I do, I'll text it to you" Ric states before leaving.

"So who is Isobel?" I ask Stefan.

"Elena's biological mother, she's a vampire. Damon turned her after Elena was born while Isobel worked at Duke. John is Elena's biological father. But she hates him and grew up with him being her uncle. Isobel is just as bad as Katherine and John nearly had Damon roasted alive" he explains.

"Jaguar already hates John, but is on the fence about Isobel" I tell him. My food arrives and I start to eat as Stefan receives a message. He calls someone, must of been Alaric with Isobel's old number.

"Isobel, it's Stefan Salvatore. I need to speak with you, it's about Elena. Please know that it's important" he says leaving a message. He hangs up and sees Damon who has just entered. He sees Jules and goes toward her but Stefan stops him. While I continue eating in peace.

"What are you doing here?" I hear Damon asks Stefan.

"I'm waiting for you. Listen, there's a lot of people here" Stefan tells him.

"Oh, damn. There goes my plan to rip her spleen through her back" Damon says sarcastically.

"Hey, listen, I know you're upset about Rose" Stefan says.

"Why does everyone think that I'm upset about Rose? I'm fine. I don't know if you know this but sometimes, vampires die. I'm gonna have a friendly chat with lady wolf, brother. Ease up" Damon tells him.

'We should be over there' Jaguar tells me.

No, it's not a full-moon. They can handle her I assure her. She goes quiet, but I can tell she's not happy about it.

Stefan answers a call while Damon joins Jules at the bar. "Well, if it isn't the one I meant to kill...I'll have to get that right next time" Jules says. Jaguar growls inside my head.

"You won't live to see another full moon unless...unless you tell me how to cure a wolf bite...and then I won't kill you" Damon tells her.

"You won't your cat will" Jules states.

"We can control her" Damon assures her.

"Promise?" she asks.

"Yes" he answers and she stands up.

"Bite me" she tells him and goes to leave. But he grabs her arm stopping her. "I'm not afraid of you or your cat" she states looking at me. I let Jaguar glare at her through my eyes. Then go back to my breakfast.

"Then you are very, very stupid" Damon tells her.

"How's your friend? Rose, is that her name? Have the chills started? The unbearable pain?" Jules asks him.

'Lets rip her head off' Jaguar snarls and I ignore her.

"If there's a cure, tell me or start watching your back" Damon threatens.

"Did I mention the dementia? It'll eat away at her brain. Soon she'll be rabid. You want a cure? I'll tell you the only cure that exists: take a stake and drive it through her heart" Jules tells him then leaves.

That true? I ask Jaguar.

'Only way to ensure she dies peacefully' she grumbles and I sigh. I leave money on the counter and leave the grill.

"Imarina?" a guy asks me and I look at him.

"Who wants to know?" I ask defensively.

"I'm a warlock, I work with Elijah" he states.

"Not interested" I tell him and go to leave. Suddenly my head explodes in pain and I grab it.

"I'd reconsider if I were you, we only wish to talk" Elijah states as he joins the warlock.

"Call him off" Jaguar snarls.

"Jonas" he says and the pain stops. "Now Imarina, I understand you protect Niklaus' bloodline" he says looking at me.

"I do" I grumble.

"Now you see that's a problem, I can't have you get in the way" he tells me.

"Of what?" I ask.

"Just know if you get in my way, Jonas here will take you out" Elijah states.

"Is that a threat?" I snarl.

"No, a promise" he says and they leave. I sigh sitting on the fountain's edge. I stay there until the pain leaves and go back to the boarding house to find Elena hugging Damon.

"Good night Damon, Imarina" Elena says and leaves.

"Rose?" I ask.

"She's dead" he says and drinks his scotch.

"I'm sorry Damon, I wish there had been a cure for her" I tell him. "Don't dink yourself to death" I add and go to my room. I change into my pjs and call it a night after brushing my teeth.
