The Ritual

Jaguar/Imarina's POV

I lay in my tree watching the scene below me in two minds. The first being Imarina, Elena is my friend and I don't want her to die. But then Jaguar who has to follow Klaus' orders and wishes. He wants Elena dead, so that he can break his curse. No matter how much I want to help my friend, I can't.

Greta approaches Elena and Jenna. "I bet you're hungry" she says looking a Jenna. Elena sees a sharp rock nearby and rushes to grab it. But with a wave of her hand, Greta sends Elena flying backwards. Elena lands painfully in the dirt. Greta waves her hand again, creating a circle of fire around Elena. Elena stands up and rushes towards the flames, but finds that she can't escape.

"Don't bother trying to get through. I spelled the circle. You're trapped. No matter what you do" she tells Elena.

"Greta...Please, just- just let her go" Elena pleads. "Please Imarina, don't let her hurt my aunt" she adds looking up at me. I chuff and look away as Greta feeds Jenna blood.

"That's enough" Greta says and I turn back to see her create a circle of fire around Jenna also. "Watch them while I get the wolf" she tells me and I nod my head. Elena assures her aunt that it's going to be ok. But it won't, they'll both die tonight and there's nothing I can do to stop it.

When Greta returns with Jules she puts her in a circle of fire. She then goes to the alter and we wait. Soon Jules wakes groan in pain. "Who's that?" Jenna asks Elena.

"That must be the werewolf" Elena tells her. Jules clutches at her stomach, groaning in pain.

"What's happening to me?" Jules asks groaning in pain.

"I cast a spell to slow down your transformation. Your insides are trying to tear themselves free" Greta states.

"Greta, witches are supposed to maintain the balance in nature. It's your duty to them to keep this curse sealed" Elena tells her.

"My duty is to Klaus and the new world order" Greta tells her. Just then Klaus arrives.

"Glad to know I still have a dance partner" he says smiling. He then looks at Jules, Jenna and Elena. "Hello, my lovelies. Are we ready?" he asks them. He takes the moonstone from his pocket. "I've got the moonstone. I spent 500 years looking for this. I hate to part with it" he says and hands it to Greta. Who looks up at the sky.

"The moon has passed its apex. Remember everything you need to do?" she asks him. He assures her that he does. Greta drops the moonstone into a stone bowl filled with flames. Sparks fly as the moonstone is destroyed. Greta begins chanting a spell in Latin. Klaus approaches the rings of fire.

He approaches Jules and looks down at her. The ring of fire around Jules disperses. Jules's eyes turn yellow and she uses her werewolf speed to rush at Klaus. Alas, Klaus gets the upper hand and pins Jules to the ground. Plunging his hand into her chest and ripping out her heart. Jules takes a final breath, tears streaming down her face, and dies. Klaus breathes heavily as he holds the bloody heart in his hands.

Greta continues chanting a spell while Klaus holds Jules's heart over the ceremonial bowl, squeezing the blood into the flames. "Does that mean it's working?" he asks her.

"It's working" she tells him with a smile. He smiles and goes over to Jenna's circle. I smell Stefan and look to the top of the quarry with a snarl.

"I don't recall you being on the guest list" Klaus says looking up at Stefan. "Easy Jaguar" he tells me and I relax. But watch Stefan like a hawk as Klaus goes to talk to him. But keeping my ears trained on the noises around us. Encase someone else tries to intrude on the ritual. Soon Klaus returns with Stefan in tow. "Quite the predicament. You know, it's funny, all this talk about preserving family, and here's Stefan, granting your wish" he tells Elena.

"Stefan" Elena says sadly.

"It's okay" he assures her.

"Who's it going to be, Elena?" Klaus asks. Pointing his stake as Jenna and Stefan. She refuses to choose between them. "Oh, don't worry. There's actually no choice" he tells her. Klaus vamp speeds around Stefan and stakes him in the back. Stefan screams in pain and crumbles to the ground. But not dead.

"No, Stefan!" Elena cries and I flatten my ears. Klaus rips the stake out of Stefan's back, leaving a sizable chunk of wood in his back.

"I have other plans for your boyfriend. I want him alive. But for now" Klaus says and snaps Stefan's neck. "Whenever you're ready, Greta" he states. Greta begins chanting the next part of the spell which dispels the ring of fire surrounding Jenna. Jenna looks on, frightened. She tries to kill Greta by biting her neck.

Klaus vamp speeds over to Jenna and stakes her in the back, pulling her off of Greta. Jenna gasps and Klaus releases her. Jenna falls to the ground as Elena starts to cry. Elena tells her to turn it off, so that she won't be scared anymore. Klaus flips Jenna over onto her back and hunches over her. Jenna seems less frightened when Klaus stakes her in the heart.

"No, Jenna!" Elena wails. Jenna's body starts to become grey and decayed. Klaus releases the stake from his grap and stands up. Jenna lays lifeless on the stone with the stake through her heart. It's now Elena's turn and I grip the bark of the tree with my claws. Soon Klaus will be at his most vulnerable, that's when the others will most likely attack.

The circle of fire disappears from around Elena. Elena looks up as Klaus extends his hand towards her. Elena gets up from the ground and walks past Klaus, ignoring him. Elena makes her way to the altar and looks down at Jenna's body. Klaus follows her up to the altar and grabs Elena's face in his hand. "Thank you, Elena" he says honestly.

"Go to hell" she tells him. Elena stares out, blankly, as Klaus sinks his fangs into her neck and starts to drain Elena of her blood. I notice Stefan watch on, helplessly. Klaus holds Elena tightly as his eyes starts to sprout more veins. Elena's eyelids flutter and her eyes roll into the back of her head and she dies. Klaus releases her and Elena falls to the ground. Blood drips from Klaus' mouth and the flame in the bowl is extinguished.

"I can feel it, it's happening" he states. Klaus looks up at the full moon. Suddenly, his bones begin to crack and he starts to transform. His eyes are yellow like a werewolf's, but he stil has the veins under them, like a vampire.

Suddenly, Klaus is thrown through the air. The flames in the bowl reignite, startling Greta. Greta hears and sees Bonnie coming down the hillside, chanting a spell. Before Greta can react, Damon sneaks up behind her and snaps her neck. I snarl and jump down from the tree. I go to attack Bonnie and am thrown through the air.

I land hard and groan. I get up to see Elijah approaching Klaus. No, he can't die. Was my only thought. I rush to stop him and am stopped by Tiger. I growl and snap at him. He swipes at me with his paw. We start to fight.

"I didn't bury them at sea!" Klaus shouts and we stop fighting panting heavily. Both wounded. "Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them" he tells Elijah. Tiger and I look at them. What will Elijah do?

"Elijah! Don't listen to him" Stefan tells him. I snarl with Tiger.

"Elijah, I can take you to them. I give you my word...brother" Klaus promises. Elijah appears to be having second thoughts about killing his brother.

"Do it and I'll take you both out" Bonnie tells him. Tiger and I snarl getting in between her & our masters. No one threatens them. Elijah tells her she'll die. "I don't care" she tells him. Elijah looks down at Klaus and back up at us.

"I'm sorry" he says to Bonnie and Stefan. He picks up Klaus and runs away. Tiger and I hot on his heels. We were gone before the other two could react. Elijah finds a safe place and lays Klaus down. Allowing him to complete his transformation. I lay down on a slab of rock and start to lick my wounds. Tiger lays beside me and does the ones I can't reach. So I return the favor. It's our way of saying there are no hard feelings about our fight.
