"I love ice skating!" I cheer using my four hooves to guide me across the frozen pond. Snowflakes are sprinkling onto my petite antlers and hair.
The sky dropped snow into my forest last night, leaving me with a snowy surprise this morning. I've been skating all morning even though my little deer body is cold. Well, deertaur body to be specific. A centaur, but cuter and more deer.
The natural ice rink is iridescent, beautiful, and shimmering from the sun. Trees surround the frozen pond making me feel secluded in my element. I continue to glide across the ice when my ears perk up. The sound of crunching snow piques my interest. It's not a light crunching either, whatever is walking through the snow is heavy, on two legs and getting closer. Carefully, I halt my skating and coast off the rink.
Not knowing what danger could be lurking in the forest, I hide behind a thick pine tree. A few moments later, whatever the creature is, it is approaching the frozen pond's clearing. I peak my head around the base of the tree. That's when I see the creature. Or the cutie.
