The first thing Xander saw when he woke up was a group of random people he had never seen before standing outside his room. His eyes wandered around curiously as he tried to get a clearer glimpse of them.

It wasn't long until Doctor Brown walked in, smiling reassuringly at a panicked and confused Xander.

"Ah, finally awake I see," he joked earning nothing more than an unamused look from the boy.

He cleared his throat before looking back at the group of people who stood next to him, "I'd like you to meet the Brenner's, son. Their daughter Nevaeh will be taking Elliot's place as your roommate," he explained.

Xander's eyebrows frowned instantly after hearing that last sentence, he was speechless, flabbergasted even. Yes, he and Elliot argued last night but he didn't think he'd actually do it.

Oh.

"I'm sure you two will get along, Nivie is a brilliant girl," said who he supposed was the girl's mother.

His eyes met a pair of blue ones, she was a stunning girl who stood at 5'7, she wore a periwinkle blue bandana on her light brown hair which matched her eyes. Most would be in awe of her beauty but Xander didn't find anything interesting or eye-catching about her.

The girl, on the other hand, seemed to have taken a quick interest in the green-eyed boy as she tried to start multiple conversations with him.

"Nice to meet you I'm-"

"I really do not care," Xander groaned.

Nevaeh seemed taken back by his behavior but she decided to shrug it off, maybe he wasn't the friendly type. She thought.

____

Xander's POV:

I can't believe what's happening, that son of a bitch actually did it.

What the fuck.

Oh, why do I care I wished this on myself, besides no more annoying emo prick to bother me anymore.

On the other hand, I need to find a way to deal with that random girl.

What's she even doing? Why is she walking around my room like she hasn't seen one before?

"Wow, this hospital is so cool!" She exclaimed with a wide grin on her face.

I narrowed my eyes at her, is she ADHD or something? For Christ's sake, she hasn't shut up once since she got here.

"Xander Hale..." She mouthed weirdly as if it was an unfamiliar name or a hard word to pronounce, I looked at her and jolted away fast.

"What the hell!? keep your distance weirdo!"

She was actually so close to me that our noses almost touched, how close does she have to be to read my name tag?

"Oh I'm sorry, I was just trying to read your name tag, I didn't realize how close I was..." She said apologetically.

"Just- just actually leave me alone and don't invade my personal space again." I berated.

______

"Dude  I can't believe we're roommates, haven't had one since I got transferred here," exclaimed Peter.

Elliot smiled warmly as he unpacked, "Yeah, imagine the amount of chaos we'll create," he said with a  sardonic smile.

"They'd have to separate us," laughed Peter while admiring the taller guy from where he sat, on his bed, putting both arms behind him for balance and support.
