Tzuyu's POV
A week later
The hallways had been decorated nicely for Christmas with decorative red, white, and green ruffles.
The hallways were also unusually crowded.
Yes, there are often a lot of students going all around the hallways because it's a big school with many students.
But not this crowded.
I and Dahyun somehow made it to our lockers safely without being sworn away from the crowd.
I opened my locker and later unzipped my backpack to take out the books that don't need during my first period.
I later took my gym bag and put it inside the locker and after that put the rest of the books inside my backpack.
Dahyun did the same before she turned toward me.
"It's crowded today." She said looking around.
I hummed before putting my backpack on my back and locking the locker.
I turned to her as we started making our way to math class.
"Do you have any idea why?" I asked her as she thought about it for a while before answering
"I don't know for sure but I guess because the winter formal is coming closer" She answered as hummed.
"Have you guys heard anything from Shuhua?" I asked after some time of silence.
"No, I haven't. She hasn't been in school for almost 2 weeks now."
"It's weird... Right after all that drama with Jungkook, I was hoping she would tell me what happened." I said and sighed.
I told the girls what happened with Jungkook, me, and Shuhua that day.
I didn't tell them about me and Jungkook because was still very scared of their reactions.
Dahyun stopped suddenly making me look at her in confusion.
I later followed her eyes and saw that her attention was drifting towards the clung students around the white speaker on the wall. I looked at her again and saw she already looked at me.
"What's that all about?" I asked as she shrugged her shoulders not having an idea either.
We looked at each other again before walking towards the big crowd.
As we came there I saw all the student's excited faces before turning to the girl next to me.
"Yuna, do you have any idea of what's going on?" I asked her as she turned towards me.
"The principal is about to announce the date and theme for this year's winter formal," She said excitedly as I nodded in understanding.
"Listen up now my fellow students. In a week from now, the 15th of December the winter formal will take place.."
"The theme of this year will be winter in Paris. So dress like it's winter in Paris."
"The tickets for the Formal will be sold at the lunch lines at noon today and tomorrow."
"Food and drinks will be included in the price of the ticket. Have fun and hope I'll see you all next Friday."
The students in the hallway cheered loudly and excitedly for the announcement.
Soon enough all of them started to walk back to their classes, all with smiles and chats about the theme and with whom they will go.
I and Dahyun looked at each other as well in excitement.
"Winter in Paris is a romantic theme."
"Yeah too bad none of us have dates."
"Who said we don't? Ain't need a man, I have my girls." She said as I sobbed whipping a fake tear from my eyes.
"Wow, that's just so touching," I said as we both laughed.
We wrapped our arms around each other's shoulders as we walked happily towards math class.
"Psst."
I looked around as I stopped. Dahyun looked at me weirdly before looking back at her.
"Hey you go first I have to check something really quick."
I said as she nodded confused and walked towards Mrs. Jung's classroom.
As she turned away I looked towards the door leading into the janitor's office.
I walked towards it and when I was just outside it the door opened and a hand grabbed my wrist.
And before I could comprehend what was happening a male figure stood in front of me.
"I'm not surprised anymore," I said as I closed the door before turning back towards Jungkook.
Jungkook leaned against one of the shelves looking at me intensely, as I fixed my skirt before standing up straight with crossed arms.
I looked at him with a frown and a look that indicated for him to tell me why he brought me here.
"Why are you frowning?" He asked confused as I sighed at this idiot.
"So you're just gonna stand there and not tell me why you brought me in here?" I said in an accidentally imitated tone.
"Did you hear the principal's announcement?" He asked as nodded confused as to why he was asking
"Yeah... Why are you asking?"
"The winter formal is in a week and I was thinking that maybe we could go together."
He said as I heard a tint of nervousness under his casual and unbothered facial expression.
If he only knew how much this small sentence affected my heart...
"W-what?" I said as was still shook by his question.
"Will you go to the winter formal with me?" He asked again as gulped before answering.
"I would if I could. The thing is Jungkook, I and the girls go every year together so it's kinda a tradition."
"I don't wanna let them down. And besides, if we go together people will start mistaking it for being something else."
I said as I saw his facial expression turning a bit disappointed but it soon vanished.
"I get it... But I guess I'll see you there at least." He said as smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, See you in class," I said and was about to step out of the room and start walking towards class,
"Wait!" He called out before I could open the door.
I turned towards him as he cleared his throat before he grinned.
"Spare me a dance will you?" He said as I laughed and nodded.
"I'll book you in," I said as we looked at each other before we both stepped out and walked towards math class.
