Rue
The moon was hiding behind a fluffy wall of dark grey. A breathless whisper was haunting me. Stalking me. A presence that was never more than a few steps behind. An uncontrollable force was pounding away in my chest. As my breath became ragged, I realised my heart was beating out of my chest. Something dug into my flesh, I tore my arm away and continue to sprint deeper into the vampire's territory. Red eyes glowed in the distance. The creature was in front of me, I gulped but the lump in my throat was lodged there. There was no escape.
'Only a fool would worship a deadly creature and not expect it to suck the life out—'
'I don't worship you,' I panted. As I doubled over, my fingertips found a slimy surface.
'Oh,' the red eyes tilted to the side, within seconds it was so close to me, I could feel the malice leaking out of its pores. 'Perhaps I got the wrong person.'
The rotten tree stump refused to hold my weight. I fell flat on my face.
'Definitely,' it chuckled as it loomed over me. 'No matter, I'm hungry. And you've stumbled into a place you don't belong.'
'You're mistaken.' I lifted my head.
'Oh,' its smirk only highlighted how sharp its teeth were.
'I'm not a person.'
Its eyes sparkled with intrigue. 'I'm Malice Rancour.'
'Rue Ky.'
'Ah,' Malice offered me a hand up but I refused. 'Spiteful. We take, you give. Yet the destruction you cause is something we could only dream of.'
'Are you afraid?' I raised my eyebrow and smirked. 'You don't want to destroy the alliance when it hasn't even been signed yet.'
'Nice to meet you, Rue.' The demonic chuckle faded into the darkness.

'My my you run fast for a spiteful.' Suddenly she was floating around me. 'But I wonder if you realise, I am your sire?'
'Sire? No I don't have one of those.'
'Yes you do my dear. You do.'
