Rue

'When I was young, I thought eventually everything would be okay.' I looked into the river and watched the light dance around the sparkling water. Gemstones shone in the bright light of the glowing sun. The birds were singing a lovely tune. It was peaceful, beautiful.

A horrible noise shattered the calm, 'Loser, how dare you call me out!'

The birds flew away, the water turned rancid. A putrid mud swallowed up the gorgeous stones as darkness descended on the area.

'Now I know it just gets worse.'

'What is it that you want?' Malice hissed.

'I want you,' I spun around and bit the werewolf. The previous wound pulsated under my teeth but I didn't let go.

'Stop,' she whined.

I fought the flood of spite but eventually it took hold of me.

'This was a mistake,' she rasped.

I tried to agree but the sludge coated my mouth and made it impossible to speak. Yuck I hated being muddy on theoutside, I practically lived in the bath, so this was torture.

Fox's words rang in my ears, 'No one can swallow a monster without becoming the monster.'

Great, do monsters take baths?
