*2 Years Later*
Hayley's P.O.V
"No problem, ma'am. Have a nice day. Bye." I said, hanging up the phone. I typed in the woman's appointment for the eye doctor I work for and looked around the waiting room. Two small children and an old man until my day was over.
"Margret, Dr. McAndrews will see you now." Karen, one of the nurses who works here called into the waiting room. A little girl no older than six stands up and grabs onto a pink stuffed bunny. Her mother escorts her to the door and they disappear. Just as I look to my computer screen I hear the front door of our office open.
"I'm sorry but we're clo-" I stop in the middle of my sentence. The green eyes and curly brown hair look all to familiar as they come closer to me.
"What do you want?" I ask in a cold tone.
"I walked two blocks to tell you to shut your damn dog up
! I don't even know what it barks at. For God's sake, she lives in an apartment building." Harry said in an annoyed tone."I taught her to bark at dicks like you." I said, returning to my work.
"Shut up the damn dog, Hayley." Harry said before walking out of thebuilding.
"Jerk." I mutter as I add anther appointment to Dr. McAndrews' calendar.
The day finished fairly quickly after Harry came in and when I finally reach my apartment I hear Mazie on the other side of the door.
"Hey, girl. It's just me." I say, unlocking to door. Mazie jumps up to me when I enter and she looks so happy. I don't know what Harry was talking about. Mazie is a sweet dog. He just wants to come out of his way to make my days worse than they already are.
I change out of the Winnie the Pooh scrubs I was in all day and put on a white t-shirt and sweatpants. Once I'm finally comfortable on the couch, I get out my phone and call Trystan.
"Hey Hayley."
"Hey. It's Friday and I was wondering if you wanted to come over and have a movie night with me? We could order Chinese take out." I offer.
"You didn't even have to throw in the take out and it was a yes." Trystan laughs. "I'll be over in ten." I hang up the phone and call the local Chinese restaurant. Trystan gets here ten minutes later with a stack of movies in her hands. I let her in and we start one of the movies until the food arrives. I open the door and take the bag from the man before he walks away. Right as I'm about to close the door I hear Harry's voice down the hallway.
"Does it matter what you think? No." Harry said.
"Harold, I am your mother and I know best." A woman said in a strong British accent.
"You never have and you never will." Harry practically yelled. I heard footsteps coming towards the door and tried to close it. I was too late.
"Being nosy, are you, Hayley?" Harry said in his smug tone of voice that manages to piss me off every time I hear it.
"No, you just talk too loudly."
"At least I won't gain weight from Chinese takeout three times a week."
I slam the door and walk over to Trystan with the food.
"I really hate Harry." I said, throwing the food down.
"I would too. Don't worry." Trystan said, trying to calm me down. "I would too."
This chapter is a bit short i know; next the chapter will be much longer.
