Cry with you

Jennie's POV

"Let's take your car" my eyebrows furrowed as I stared at her confused. She smiled "drive for me?" With her puppy eyes. Usually she doesn't want me to drive.

"Of course" she was still the one who opened the door for me as a gentlewoman she is. "How about your car?".

"I'll just ask Ji-Nu to fetch that for me" I just nodded. "Can we go somewhere, Nini?".

"Of course, where to?" I glanced at her for a brief then get back ahead the road.

"Turn left at the stoplight" she guided.

"Aye ma'am" we both laughed. She continued to dictate the way until she said that we have arrived. "It's bright in here, lovey" I uttered amused as we hopped out the car.

"This is a night market, Nini" my eyes widen.

"Why are we here? I'm sure there's a lot of people coming here" I pulled her hand for us to go back to my car and leave.

"I know, but I want to show you this particular place, please?" We are both wearing mask, I can see her eyes pleading. I contemplated.

I eyed the place again, we are still in the parking lot, I still can't see how much people are inside. I sighed "Fine, but don't socialize that much, you are popular remember?" I even pointed my finger to her.

"So are you" she laughed and pulled me again to the entrance.

As we entered the night market, loud voices were heard, smell of the every dish were soothing at our nostril even we are wearing mask, smoke somewhere I think they are grilling some dish. This is beautiful and colorful.

"I really want to try some grilled squid" Lisa whispered, I nodded at her, she pulled me again while tightly holding my hands. I just hope no one give a fuck with us. "They are selling some scallops with cheese in it, I want to try that too" her lil jumped gave sparkle in my eyes.

"Then let's try it" she then ordered after "so we'll just take everything out and eat at the car?"

"No Nini, let's eat in here" she look around trying to find some available table.

"But we can't—" she immediately cuts me when she pointed somewhere.

"There" she pulled me again hurriedly so we can reserved the table, this is a big place but it's really bright, it's not possible to people to recognized her-us. I sighed again. This is what she want.

We waited for our order, we tried something else too, up until she stops buying bunch of dish. I just hope we can finish everything. Wow.

"Let's eat" she didn't hesitate to take her mask off and happily dig at the meals on our table, I contemplated at first, I looked around to see if anyone will give a fuck with us, but I think each of them are busy eating and trying everything too. Seeing Lisa happily eats the food she's craving makes me forget that we are in a public place. She looks so happy.

"This is good" as I bite at the scallops filled with a lot of cheese. She giggled and nodded, she even gave me a thumbs up.

"Try this" she gave me a spoonful of some soup she ordered, of course I welcomed the spoon in my mouth, I just completely forgot that we are OUTSIDE.

My eyes widen at the not so spicy but delicious soup. "Wow, it's good" She continued to let me try everything. We are almost done when the crowd go silent a bit as someone is doing some busking in the middle, everyone is so engrossed with the music and to someone covering some song. Well, he's good.

"One of my bucket list is to sing just like that" I returned my gaze to Lisa when she said that.

I smiled "then, what song would you want to sing if ever?" I curiously asked. She looked at me smiling.

She cupped my face and put my mask, she did too. I guessed we're leaving now. After she put her mask "wait me here" my eyebrows furrowed, she then started walking without waiting for me to ask.

She gets close to the person busking and gave a tip, but my eyes widen when she approached the guy singing and whispered something. The guy smiled at her and step away, she stand behind the mic.

"Hi everyone" now I think everyones attention is on her—them. "Pardon me, I just let you all know that I'm just fulfilling one of my bucket list, and it is to sing just like this in-front of you" the crowd cheered for her. I smiled hearing that.

"And because my special someone is here" my cheeks heated up hearing those "Nini, hope you will like this" the crowd cheered again hearing that without knowing who she was referring to. Then the guy started strumming his guitar.

But honestly, there's not a lot where I stand

Her eyes are fixed with mine.

What surprised me is she took off her mask making everyone screamed and take their phone out and started recording her, I covered my mouth out of surprised.

I can feel my eyes pooled in tears, as I kept hearing and understanding the lyrics.

"Not everyone will understand us" she speeches, the crowd goes silent but the guy continues strumming his guitar "But as long as you want me, and as long as you love me, I'm always here for you, Nini."

I cried, I tried to cover my mouth to stifle my cries, Lisa stops singing and run to me, she's smiling brightly while getting near me, when she neared me she pulled my hand and ushered us to run, she was laughing while running, all I could do is to smile and run with her.
