Third Person POV.

You slowly stumbled towards the Glade as the large walls quickly darkened.

Earlier that day you had come across a Griever deep in the Maze.

Luckily you had escaped although once had made some distance with the monster you had tripped and badly twisted your knee.

As the sun started setting you were in the final corridor and the Glade was in sight.

Trying to pick up the pace you tripped again, this time in agony.

You screamed, as you pushed yourself upright.

"Y/N! Are you ok? What's wrong?" You heard Thomas call from the doors.

"I'm fine! Don't worry!" You replied.

"You limping!" Thomas quaked

"I'm coming to help!"

"Don't you dare Tommy!" You demanded.

"Listen Y/N you've only got a few minutes before the doors close!" He explained.

"I'll make it!" You insisted.

"I'm not losing you!" And with that he sprinted into the Maze, heading straight for you.

Once he reached you he carefully lifted you up.

"Sorry" he apologised as you winced while he was carrying you.

With a loud click the doors began to close.

As you pressed your head against his chest you could hear his heart beating fast like yours.

You were about ten meters away but the doors were almost shut.

Turning sideways Thomas just slipped though the door as they banged shut behind us.

He was out if breathe and were in so much pain, but it didn't matter.

"You idiot! What the hell was that?" You barked at Thomas.

"I was trying to save you" he huffed "and it worked"

"You could've got us both killed!" You yelled.

"If this is what I get for-" but before he could finish you were kissing him.

Your hands tightly wrapped around his neck.

You had caught Thomas off guard but he quickly joined in, deepening the kiss and placing his hands on your hips.

As you pulled away you saw the shocked look on Thomas' face which made you giggle.

"But thank you" you added kindly. "It was my pleasure" Thomas smiled, still a little surprised.
