Third Person POV.
Dating was pretty scary when you thought about it--maybe on one of those nights when you can't sleep an you end up staring at the shadows littering your walls--and it finally occurs to you that inevitably, you were either going to break up or marry that significant other.
You had always kept that in the back of your mind from the moment Stiles asked you on that first date.
He planned to impress that night, his words, not yours, and he did not let you down.
It all started with roses as he picked you up at the front door, opened the car door for you, little things like that.
He drove you down to a local restaurant, ordering your favourite food, eating it with some band playing softly in the background.
If you didn't know any better, you'd say it was like you were in some kind of movie scene, Stiles and yourselves playing the main characters.
No one ceased to exist in that moment.
When Stiles and your's eyes locked, that was it, the world slowed down and it was like you were the only two alive.
Upon finishing eating, the feeling of existing overcame you once more as you exited the restaurant and back out into the busy streets.
He then told you that he was going to take you "to the place of a thousand stars", and you hadn't the slightest clue as to what he was talking about, where on earth that could be, but you went along with him and hopped back into the car.
He demanded that you closed your eyes once you approached the destination, then once you felt the car come to a stop he turned off the engine and hopped out.
Your door opened sometime later and he guided you out, checking multiple times that your eyes were still closed, before leading you towards the final destination.
Once you got the okay to open your eyes you did so, and immediately recognize being on the edge of the preserve, then he told you to look up. It was a cloudless night and his words made sense now.
Thousands of stars twinkled in the sky above you, and all you could seem to do is stare up at them in adoration.
They were simply beautiful, almost too beautiful to be true.
Stiles had come up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, and you more than okay with this.
And now here you were, months later, and you were still waking up to his face on the other side of the bed; one of his arms wrapped lazily around your waist while you were pressed up against his warm chest.
"I love you a lot, you know." He mumbles against your skin.
"Yeah?" You question, and you feel him nod against you.
My gonna love you until were all old and wrinkly, until the last breath leaves our bodies."
"That's a pretty long time," You giggle, flipping yourself around so you could face him.
"Sure you can handle me for that long?" "Defiantly," He confirms. "I love you, after all."
You press your lips to his softly, nodding, "I love you more."
Sure, dating was scary, but in the long run its all worth it.
When you're sure you've found that one you want to keep around until the end of time all that fear kind of just disappears, love replacing it.
At this point you were more than positive you wanted to spend the rest of your life with Stiles and if he was willing to put up with you and your shenanigans then you were more than happy to put up with his.
The end.....
