Thomas's POV.

The view from the lookout tower was the best. I could see everything and everyone from here, especially my girlfriend Y/n. She was around a shirtless Newt.

My chest erupted in small pains that I couldn't get rid of.

I knew Newt saw her as only a sister or best friend. Nevertheless, I felt a little scared he'd take her from me.

I climbed down the tower and walked towards the Garden. Newt was still making Y/n laugh so I hurried up a little more. Once I got there I didn't hesitate to wrap my arms around her. She giggled and said, "Thomas, hey!" I smiled and muttered a "hey" against her neck. Newt was still standing there, but didn't seem to be in an awkward position at all.

Now that Thomas looked closer he had a few mud smudges on his face. "What happened to your shirt?" I said trying to laugh. "You should ask her." He pretended to glare at Y/n. My heart began to sank a little, "W-What happened?" I asked her.

She untangled herself from me, making my heart sink more.

Could this mean that they? She pouted, here it goes.. "I was well, trying to add more dirt to the beautiful daisies when Newt," she glared at him, "decided it would be funny to scare me, but when he did I had dirt on my hands and let it go flying behind me.

So, his shirt, and his face, were covered with dirt almost immediately."

They began to laugh, and I joined them.

My heart was once more functioning properly.

I smiled at Newt who returned the smile then hugged Y/n again.

"I love you, y/n" I muttered.

"I love you more, Thomas." She replied.

"Well, I'll leave you and Tommy to get to business if you know what I mean." Newt winked and walked off.

"So..lets get to business?" I said laughing.

"Yeah, I really need help getting these daisies a little more dirt and water." She pushed me with her hip and laughed.
