MAVIS FOUND HERSELF PACING THE HOUSE AS SHE LISTENED TO EVERYBODY COMBINE THEIR STORIES. She had grown tired of listening and made her way to the bathroom. Once everyone had their share, Jonathan and Nancy watched over Will, while the kids all sat at the table.

As she came out of the bathroom she could hear Hopper yelling on the phone for a few moments before he slammed it back onto the wall. She made her way to the kitchen table to figure out what she had missed.

"They didn't believe you, did they?" Dustin questioned.

"We'll see," Hopper replied.

"We'll see? We can't just sit here while those things are loose!" Mike questioned, now upset.

"We stay here, and we wait for help," Hopper said before walking off.

She leaned against the wall with the phone, overhearing the kids conversation. Mike had gotten up and grabbed Bob's rubix cube. "Did you guys know that Bob was the original founder of Hawkins AV?" he asked turning back to the group.

"Really?" Lucas asked.

"He petitioned the school to start it and everything. Then he had a fund-raiser for equipment. Mr. Clarke learned everything from him," Mike continued, placing the cube on the table. "Pretty awesome, right?"

Earning a nod from most in the room.

"Wait where is Bob?" Mavis questioned. She had just realized he wasn't there, which was not very Bob Newby of him.

This caused everyone to look at her, their looks gave her the answer she was looking for.

She must've missed that part of the story. She bit the inside of her cheek before pulling herself off the wall and moving to the kitchen, jumping up and taking a seat on the counter. She watched as the kids began talking about how it was their job to avenge Bob and so on.

After a few moments a hand was placed over hers, it was Nancy. She looked over at Steve, who had been leaning against the counter not far away, and gave him a nod of the head, signaling for him to leave their space.

He reluctantly moved out of the kitchen and to the dining room.

Now that they were alone, Nancy stepped in front of Mavis to speak to her. "Hey, I just wanted to tell you that things went well with Murray, he said he'd send off the leak for us and everything."

"That's good, did we get enough information out of him? Enough to take them down?" Mavis questioned. She was aware of how crazy Murray was from Hopper, so she knew how he'd probably drilled into them about having enough solid evidence.

"Yeah, well actually we got too much. We had to like manipulate and switch around the audio so it sounded more believable. He called you a spitfire," she chuckled.

"Yeah I kinda went after that doctor guy a bit," she laughed. Nancy was busy looking at the cut on Mavis's face. "You should probably clean that up," she said pointing to it.

"Oh yeah I forgot about it, I'm sure it's fine," she shrugged.

"No, wait I'll help you clean it," she said grabbing a kitchen rag and wetting it before beginning to clean it off. Nancy paused, looking back at Steve for a moment before looking back. When she turned to Mavis she raised her eyebrow. "So.... you and Steve?" she questioned. Not from a place of jealousy to Mavis's surprise, it seemed it was out of genuine curiosity.

Mavis was quick to shut it down. "Oh no definitely not, we're just friends," she said.

'Yeah, right," Nancy said not believing her. She knew Mavis would never do anything without her blessing, but she couldn't figure out what was going on between the two.
