LETTING BARB HAVE A FEW MINUTES TO HERSELF, she started heading towards the kitchen before being intercepted by a soaking wet Steve.

"Go for a swim?" she asked. He sent her an eye roll accompanied by a smile. "Is she okay?" he asked looking towards the bathroom. "Yeah, pretty deep cut though, I knew she shouldn't have done it," Mavis huffed shrugging and walking past him.

He followed her into the kitchen. "So were you pushed or did you jump?" she asked. "Jumped," he said with a laugh as he headed to the towel pantry in view.

Their conversation was cut short. Tommy H. had run into the house on a mission. His clothes and hair dripped on the floor as he ran into the kitchen.

"Montgomery! I was just looking for you," he said running up behind her. Next thing she knew Tommy H. had her in a hug. She attempted to wiggle her way out, now becoming cold and annoyed. But, he was stronger than her. Steve turned around to see the mess that unfolded behind him, "oh piss off man, I told you no wet clothes in the house." Before he could make his way over to kick Tommy back outside, Tommy took his comment to heart.

Now no longer hugging Mavis, just holding her shoulders, Tommy said, "you heard him Montgomery, no wet clothes in the house." He said this as he scooped her up and carried her outside making his way to the pool. Steve chasing right behind them.

As Tommy made it to the pool edge he held her so her body was facing the pool. She knew that all she could hope for at this point is that she could take him down with her.

That was when Steve emerged from the kitchen, "put her down Tommy, she said she didn't want in, I'm serious," Steve said putting a hand up.

Purposefully misinterpreting what he had meant Tommy called out an 'If you say so" before tossing her in the water.

"The hell is your problem man?" he yelled now standing face to face with Tommy. "I'm just playing around man," Tommy called back.

Mavis had emerged at the wall of the pool a little further down, Nancy rushed over telling her she'd get her a towel before running inside. Mavis pulled herself up and sat on the edge of the pool.

"No, what you're doing is being an ass," Steve yelled back accompanied by a shove to Tommy. He didn't care though, Tommy walked it off and headed inside with Carol.

"Shit I'm really sorry May, I know you didn't even want to be here and I promised it'd be fun-" Steve started.

She hated it when he called her May. She would never verbalize it, but to her, he lost that privilege when he started ditching her. It was ironic to her that something as simple as a nickname could bother her so much.

"Steve it's fine, I'll kick Tommy's ass another day. It's just water," she said putting her hand up. She wanted to stop him before he could apologize any further.

"Okay, I'm gonna get you some clothes to change into I'll be right back," he said before heading off.

Mavis curled up, knees against her chest with her head down. All she could do was wish she'd stayed home. Her care for her friends had gotten the best of her and now she was stuck in this situation, freezing, soaking wet, sitting on the side of Steve's pool alone.

Not far away from her stood Jonathan. Hidden in the woods he saw this as the perfect photo. He held up the camera and snapped a picture.

After a minute or two Steve had made his way back outside. "Here, there's a sweatshirt and sweatpants for you to change into and the towel Nancy couldn't find. If you put your wet clothes on the washer, I can wash them for you," he said.
