Dad
I could barely get out of bed this morning. The cabin feels like ice yet I'm feeling really warm. It's freezing outside but I can't stop sweating. Maybe I picked up a bug from being out in the sleet? I can hear my wife, "You don't get a cold from being in the cold." Probably just a wintertime flu. I'll power through it like I usually do. I need to gather more firewood but I'm so tired and achy. I feel as if I haven't slept in a week. My arms are like two dead weights. Have I been lifting? Just the axe. I think I'll go back to bed for a bit. I can hear my wife again, "You haven't slept in late since our honeymoon!"
Maybe I'll do a bit of reading before I go back to bed? I reached over to the lantern on the nightstand and lit the wick. I opened the nightstand's drawer and pulled out a stack of old love letters from Mary.
"Dear John, (Just kidding but that joke never gets old!)
I miss you terribly. I can't believe we'll be married in a month. Can you? Do you wanna know what clinched the deal? Sure, you're handsome, funny (corny but still funny!) you can fix anything! (When you changed my tire on our first date! SWOON!) You have a good job and you're the hardest working man I know... You love Jesus! Yes ALL of that is why I agreed to marry you but... as soon as we met and you told me your last name was March I KNEW we'd be married. We are meant to be. When we have 4 daughters you'll finally know Mr. March! I cannot wait to be Mrs. March. We are gonna have the perfect life. You're perfect.

I tucked Mary's letter back in the lavender scented envelope. You sure loved your essential oils Mary. I'm not feeling too well right now. What essential oil should I take? Frankincense? You preached that Frankincense oil healed everything. Why didn't it heal you Mary? I miss you so much it hurts.
