(this is not related to the main plot (and only like semi-canon) but I wanted to write some fluff oneshots so here! I hope you all enjoy)

--One week before Halloween--

With a flick of a lighter, I lit a pumpkin scented candle. Halloween was just around the corner and I couldn't wait to spend it with my closest friends.  I took a deep breath, smelling the candle I became overwhelmed with a sense of security. I fell back onto the soft comforter on my bed, happy it was a Friday. I don't think I could stand another day of Mr. Wiggen's Pre-Calculus.

I reached for the book on my nightstand, Frankenstein. I mean, it was only appropriate, right? Just as I opened to the page I left off on, my walkie-talkie buzzed.

"Vee?"

Damnit Chuck, I just want to enjoy the fall season. I rolled my eyes and tried to focus on the story.

"Oh Vee?~" He asked in a sing-song voice. "Evelyn."

I don't think I've ever grabbed that stupid device quicker.

"What do you want Chuck?

"I'm bored, do you want to do something?" He asked

"Seriously? Why not hang out with Auggie or Stella?" I asked, falling back onto my bed.

"Because I'm not outside either of their houses.

"He did not." I said to myself getting up and walking to my window. My hand gripped the white curtain, pulling it to the side, revealing none other than Charlie Steinberg outside my house.

The sun was setting, painting a beautiful orange and yellow sky. The low light luminated his smile as he looked up at me and waved.

"God you are so weird." I said over the talkie.

"Are you coming or not? I was thinking dinner and Flippy's?"

"Yeah Yeah, just give me a second." I sighed walking over to grab my shoes. I sloppily tied the laces of my black converse. I stood up and sadly blew out my candle. I then placed my bookmark back in my book.

"Maybe tomorrow, Mary Shelley." I sighed placing it back on my bedside table.

I quickly threw my green jacket over my shoulders and ran out of my room and down the stairs.

"I'm going out!" I yelled at my brother's room.

"Be back by midnight!" He shouted back.

"Will do!" I left my house, making sure the door was locked. At the foot of my porch Chuck waited. I wasted no time in flicking his forehead, right between his eyes.
