"Okay! To start with I'm going to need a change of clothes!" I turn to Draken for directions to the nearest clothing store with reasonably priced fashion. Oblivious to what my face is saying he raises a blonde brow, "well show me the way tour guide!" I roll my eyes turning away from him dramatically stretching my leg out towards the streets of Shibuya.
"Hey! I need a little more information than that," he scolds, hovering close behind me as we follow the tide of hustle and bustle.
"Ah! That looks good," I point at a store across the road, waiting patiently with a smile for the correct moment to cross. Draken tilts his head in the direction, still walking with his hands in his pockets all tough and stuff. The moment arrives and I clasp my hand around Draken's baggy sleeve, dragging him across the busy road. A car barely missing him as he stumbles foolishly behind me, a loud toot resides from the vehicle as the wind rushes past us as if we were in a thunder storm.
Jumping over the curb I release the boys arm and skip towards the small shop a door wide open and welcoming. "Hey! Kimiko you can't just run into traffic like that without warning!" he nags, but the only part that sinks in is my name. It's the first time I've ever heard him say it and it's sounds odd coming from him. "Are you even listening to me?"
"Come on, if you're going to scold me like I'm a child all day then I'll leave you behind," I taunt, strolling into the store offering the lady at the counter a smile before finding my way into the isles.
"I wouldn't have to if you weren't so childish!"
"Loosen up a bit," I glance at him momentarily while looking through the rack of shirts, noting the twitch of his eye and tension in his jaw. Finally spotting a shirt of my taste I find my size and pass it to the male who takes it without question to my surprise. Quickly spinning away from my human clothes hanger, I spot the sales rack.
Looking through the items I find a cute pleated skirt, plain white and luckily in my size. I hand the clothing to Draken and glance around in search of a few more pieces to finish off the look.
Grabbing some cheap shoes that'll probably fall apart within a month and an over sized sweater I make my way over to the counter to purchase the goods. Taking my clothes from the blonde and placing them before the register, I dig through my bag for my purse as the lady scans my items. "That comes to a total of $34.67," she states with a warm smile. I grab hold of my card and glance up to the woman only to see an outstretched hand with cash.
"Absolutely not!" I push his arm away in disapproval. "I can take care of myself," I add, dialing in my pin code.
I sense the taller male rolling his eyes but I choose to ignore it. "Thank you, have a nice day!" I smile to the cashier, taking my bag of clothes in one hand and strolling to the door with Draken close behind.
Once we've walked a few stores down the street I turn to Draken, "you don't have to show me pity, you know?"
"I wasn't."
"You don't have to try and hide it. I noticed the way your mood dropped earlier when I told you about myself, you instantly wanted to leave to change the subject. I'm not stupid and I don't want your sympathy," I try to get the message across but he just continues to look ahead, brushing off what I'm saying.
I'm not sure why but I just can't stand the thought of people feeling sorry for me. It's so annoying, I literally have everything I want and I got all of it by myself. That sounds like an achievement to me, not something you should pity.
Shaking the thought away I spot a popular takeaway place, which means bathrooms. "Come on, there should be bathrooms in here for me to change," I explain walking towards the busy entrance.
