An earthquake shook the entirety of Megapolis, and rudely awoke MK.

"Earthquake!" MK yelped. The earthquake soon ceased, and he pouted at all his belongings on the floor. "Oh, no-o-o-o. All my pwecious pwossessions. Huh? 9:01. I'm late for work! My staff, my staff, where's my staff? Staff? Pigsy's gonna kill me! Okay. Socks. Jacket. Bandana. Let's go."

He dashes downstairs to Pigsy's Noodles.

"And I'm here. Pigsy! I'm so sorry I'm late. I overslept, and I guess I didn't set an alarm? Honestly, I don't even remember going to bed. And the earthquake, and-and-and-- please don't fire me." MK was on the verge off pulling out his tearful look.

Pigsy looked down at him, an intimidating look on his face. Strangely, it quickly changed to a beaming grin. "Fire you? Ha! Why would I fire you?"

MK looked at him in confusion. "Uh, well, last time you said, "If you are one minute late ever again, you are fired.""

"I said that?"

Tang wrapped an arm around Pigsy's shoulders. "That doesn't sound like my best friend Pigsy."

MK looked between the two as they laughed with each other. "Uh —"

The world shakes again.

"It's happening again!" MK cried, the two men looked concerned.

"Again? What you talking about, MK?" Pigsy asked. MK was even more confused, how could Pigsy not feel an earthquake of that magnitude?

"Did you not feel that?"

"Feel what?"

"I think MK's got a real case of the Mondays, hmm?" Tang teased and MK huffed. "Hmm, maybe it's an inner ear thing? Oh, the staff. Yep. Uh, must be in there real good."

MK attempted to pull his staff out of his ear, but Pigsy laughs at him. "Your staff ain't in your ear, kid."

"Oh. That's a relief. Wait, where is it?"

"On top of the mountain, sealing away the Demon Bull King and his entire family." Tang exclaimed, and MK did a double take.

"Uhh, say what now?"

"You do remember, right?" Tang sighs and turns to scold Pigsy. "I keep saying you work him too hard."

"That's it. You're taking a day off." Pigsy declared.

MK leaves the noodle shop in excitement, not even second guessing how weird the whole situation was.

"My first day off in two whole years. This is a perfect day." MK cheered.

"Perfect!"

MK was skateboarding down an empty street, the only signs of life being cheerful passerby's "No traffic at rush hour?"

"Perfect!"

"Free shoes and cheese tea samples?"

"Perfect!"
