What in the name of the Distortion World happened!?

I stared out a the sea of asleep citizens. Everyone was asleep, with me being the only exception. There were people laying down on the street, leaning against walls, asleep in their cars, they were everywhere.

"Oh my Arceus..." I muttered to myself.

I went through my patrol quicker than normal, finding that the ENTIRE CITY was asleep.

My ear flicked hearing an advertisement from someone's phone. "Ugh, not interested!" I gasped and turned the corner. 

"MK!" I exclaim. I'm not the only one!

MK sighed in relief, seeing me. His hair was messy, he wore a fuzzy green robe and had very noticeable bags under his eyes.

"You're awake, thank goodness!" MK exclaimed as he hugged me, his aura had a hint of desperation in it. He really wasn't doing so hot... "Everyone is asleep, and I don't know what happened, and-!"

MK groaned in frustration and kicked away some random civilians phone. I looked at the phone screen, and then spotted the same thing on another person's phone. Sleep Bug...? Everyone is asleep...?

"MK! That's it!" I yell out, startling the poor human. "This Sleep Bug, it made everybody fall asleep!"

He gained a look of realization as I said that. "Oh yeah! I get it! And I know just the place to get to!"

At this, MK immediately got dressed into his regular outfit at lightning speed before grabbing me, making a hoverbike with his staff, and blasting off to who knows where he was taking me.

We ended up in the Cloud, standing before a giant door with images of tow guard-like people on them. MK looked up at the door curiously.

"No guards, hmm..." He hummed to himself, leaning on the door. "Something is definitely up." 

I watched as MK's hand was slowly absorbed by the door, and he fell through it with a yell. "MK!" I exclaim before jumping after him. I found him face first on the floor. "Are you alright?"

Rubbing his head, MK groaned as he got up. "This is the worst day of my life. Woah!" 

MK looked up and my sight followed, and we were both awestruck at the giant shelves and books and data everywhere.

"Rotom would be having a field day with this..." I muttered.

MK got up and began walking down the first aisle before us, and I followed after him. Things have already been suspicious about this place. No guards guarding the place, and the ominous aura present throughout. I was walking a bit behind him, Bone Rush prepared in hand and eyes peeled for any potential dangers.

"How am I gonna find the game?" MK asked, scratching his head. A glowing red came from our left, as well as some glitchy sounds.

We both turned to see a pixelated... thing, resembling sprites from some old video game.

Seeing it, MK smirked. "Aha! Red means bad! Uh, sometimes it means good."

Before MK could go on a tangent, I grabbed his attention. "MK! The bug is getting away!"
