Athena's POV

"Athenaaaaaa!" I wake up as I hear my name being yelled at. I get up and go downstairs to see what's going on in the morning. "Dad?" I call him. "Did you yell my name?"

"Yep," he says, standing in front of me. He shows me a paper with a great detailed document on it. "I emailed your grades to various colleges and universities and it happened. Most of them got back to me right away. I think the reason they responded so quickly is probably that they saw your great grades and didn't want you as a student."

I take the document he's showing me to look at it in detail. It contains the replies and details of each university. And I would stare into my eyes... Harvard University, Standford University, Yale University, University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford?!

Looking at the names of these universities, they are more difficult to get into with more room to spare than the university I attended before this. "Dad, why did you choose all those prestigious and difficult universities?"

"Because looking at your grades, anyone would think you could go to even the most difficult universities."

Are you kidding me?! But soon I shift back my gaze to the paper and read the messages I got from those universities. And it says I'm eligible for an interview.

"Oh my God! I'm eligible for those super difficult university interviews? You've got to be kidding me!!" I get excited and the tension gets crazy and I start jumping up and down uncontrollably.

"Thank you so much for this, Dad!" I jump to him and embrace him. "I don't know what to do to thank you enough."

I feel him smiling even though I don't see his face. "I just did what a parent should've done, darling."

I can't help smiling. He's literally the best father ever.

We then walk to the kitchen to find Cindy. She's frying eggs in a pan. "Morning, Athena."

"Morning," I say back as I walk to her. "Is there anything I can help with?"

"It's okay. Breakfast will be ready soon. Why don't you go take a shower first?"

I turn around and find my father gesturing for me to the shower room, so I nod to Cindy, and go.

I walk into the shower room, it's as if it's a hotel, very bright inside and nicely lit. The sink is brightly colored, and the light directly above it is orange, which makes me feel like I would look stylish if I took a selfie here and posted it on social media.

I get a towel from the shelf and place the clothes I brought on that shelf to keep them dry. There is a radio on the shelf, so I turn it on and close the shower curtain.

Then I pick up the shower head and start running hot water, and music starts playing on the radio. It's 'Break Free' by Ariana Grande.

I get so into the groove of the music that I start shampooing while moving my hips. "This is, the part when I say I don't want ya, I'm stronger than I've been before..." I start to sing so loud.

When I finish shampooing, putting conditioner on my hair, and I reach for the body soap to wash my body, the song changes. 'There's nothing holding me back' by Shawn Mendes is playing.

"Oh I been shaking, I love it when you go crazy, you take all my inhibitions, baby there's nothing holding me back..." I finish washing my body while singing.

I open the shower curtain and turn off the radio. It was nice to take a shower while feeling very groovy. After wiping myself off with a towel and getting dressed, I grab the hair dryer from the sink, turn it on, and run it through my hair. "Oh I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying, not to think about you..." I sing enthusiastically here too. The radio isn't on, so it's completely just my voice, but I don't care, I sing.
