The Proposal

Three kids were engrossed in their own world. Mishti, Ruhaan and Lakshya seemed inseparable at that tender age. Mishti was the princess and Ruhaan & Lakshya the princes' participating in her swayamvar. They were to present her with a boque of flowers with a card addressing her and the one whose card young Mishti chooses would be the winner of the swayamvar. Young Ruhaan had so carefully crafted the perfect boque for his princess wherein Lakshya who was just playing the game for the sake of it made one with laziness. But what surprised Annapurna  was watching the kids from afar was how Ruhaan exchanged the cards on the boques making Lakshya the winner of the Swayamvar and thereby winning the princess Mishti's heart.

A curious Annapurna asked Ruhaan "Beta, I saw how you made Lakshya win but why did you do this?" "For Mishti Annu aunty, I know that she will be more happy when Lakshya wins. Now see the way she is smiling. I just love watching her smile it's beautiful."

Back then he had always let Mishti go to Lakshya because he knew that that's where her happiness lay. But now when he got to know what Lakshya had done to his princess he was in a dilemma with conflicting emotions. A part of him was sad and worried for Mishti's heartbreak. But the other selfish part was excited at the prospected that he did finally have a chance to be the Prince to his princess.

He looked out of the window seat of the flight reminiscing all his moments with Mishti. Her cuteness, playfulness and that beautiful smile. He always told Annu aunty how he felt that she was named correctly Mishti - sweet. He was so engrossed in looking at the solitaire in his hand that he did not realise the announcement that the flight was about to take off. The lady beside him tapped him to pay attention. He gave her a grateful smile as he put on his seat belt. "Thank You, Myself Ruhaan Mehra" He introduced himself "You are welcome and I am Lavanya Kashyap"
