Taken aback would be an understatement to what both of them were experiencing. Never in her wildest dreams did Mishti imagine that her interviewer would turn out to be that one person who saw her at her worst nor did Ritwik expect meeting the mystery woman as his potential employee.
Both of them took a breath and moved forward as if that day never transpired. He was impressed at her responses to his answers.
" Ms. Khanna you have quite an impressive resume and you seem quite able. But the lack of work experience in your portfolio surprises me" He saw her face turn pale. This was the question she hated the most. " Mr Noon I used to handle my family business until lately. But now I want to make an identity for myself. " "Ohk Ms. Khanna I understand and I am quite impressed too. I have been in your shoes when I started my career. But I am sorry, according to my policy I take trainees under the impression of them joining my organisation in the future. I don't want to invest in someone who will not be an asset to my company but a competition." Mishti smiled at the businessman before her and replied "Sir, I do not intend to join the family business as I feel I do not have that right in the family anymore" she indicated to her empty ring finger reminding him of her broken engagement " On the other hand I am quite impressed at your response as you have not noticed that I am Mishti Khanna, the sole heir of Khanna enterprises and not offered me the job expecting a business collaboration in the future. So, Mr Noon I am willing to take up the job and do contact me if you change your decision" saying this she exited the cabin leaving behind a bewildered Ritwik Noon.
