I blushed as Dom retracted his hand. We sat in silence for the rest of the drive to school.
Once we arrived I scrambled out of the car as fast as I could and walked away from Dominyk.
"Hey! Cygnus! Come back, please!" Dom yelled after me, but I ignored him and brought my pace up to a speed walk.
I lost him and breathed a sigh of relief. Don't get me wrong Dom is my best friend but, after that encounter, I'd rather avoid him all day, but then I'd have no one to talk to...
You know what, let's ignore that fact.
I made it to my homeroom class and groaned. I just had to be put in the class with 1.) my old bully, Emmett, 2.) my ex, Rivalen (I am not on good terms with him), and 3.) Rivalen's new boyfriend, Gabriel.
It's okay. I can do this. I went to the only empty seat and sat. The girl next to me introduced herself.
"Hi! I'm Arin Moore!"
She was a short girl with dark skin, golden brown eyes, and a pink hijab to match the knee length dress she was wearing. Her pink Doc Marten's Mary Janes were the exact shade of her hijab.
"I'm Cygnus Patterson." I replied, kind of stunned by her eagerness
"Yeah! I know who you are! You're on the lacrosse team right?"
"Oh...uh...yeah."
"And you used to date Rivalen Micheals? And everyone called you two Civalen, right?"
That was a sore subject
"Yeah..."
"Oh, sorry. Did I hit a sore spot? It's one of my talents." She smiled after she said this
"Oh. No, it's okay" I said, trying to reciprocate the smile
The teacher's voice booms "Alright, students. Let's get started!"

After school, I sat waiting in the quad for Dom so he could drive me home, because I don't have a car and I don't like walking a mile in my combat boots.
"Hey..." Dom said quietly
I shoot my head up to look at him.
"Hey." I responded, "Ready?"
"Yeah."
We walked out to the parking lot and climbed into the car.
I turned the radio on and Panic! At The Disco's Impossible Year was playing.
This is Dom's favorite song, so I turn the volume up. After about a minute I hear him singing along.
"There's no good times, this impossible year. Just a beachfront of bad blood and a coast that's unclear. All the guests at the party, they're so insincere. They just intrude and exclude. This impossible year."
I haven't heard Dom sing in so long. I forgot how beautiful his voice can be, especially when he really knows the songs and can belt out any note, rhythm, or lyric.
Oh no. I think I'm falling for him...

Hey!! It's me

So I decided I wanted to leave this chapter here because I sort of hit a writing block so that's why the chapter isn't the greatest.

Anyway I hope you're enjoying the story. I'm trying to shoot for at least 10 parts, maybe more so we'll see
