3rd POV

After winning the captain's favor, the group of Y/N, Gon, Kurapika, and Oreo finally arrived safely at Dolle Harbor. "Hey, my name's Leorio! Get it right!" Leorio corrected the narrator in frustration. "Anyway," Y/N continued, "they arrived safely at Dolle Harbor." "Thanks, Captain! I had a great time!" Gon exclaimed, waving to the Captain as they disembarked. "Haha, I had fun too. As a token of my appreciation, head to the cedar tree on top of the hill. It's a shortcut to the exams," the Captain advised, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "A shortcut? Got it, I'll do that, Captain!" Gon beamed, bounding back to his friends.

Y/N's POV

As Gon returned, we gathered around the map to plan our next move. "The captain said to head to the cedar tree on the hilltop," Gon relayed excitedly. "That's strange," Leorio frowned. "Why?" Gon asked, tilting his head in confusion. "Because it says on this notice I received that the exam is in Zaban City," Leorio pointed at the map, showing the considerable distance to Zaban City. While Leorio spoke, I dug into my bag, pulled out a mango, and began peeling it. The sweet, juicy fruit provided a momentary distraction from the tension building among us. As I finished eating, I noticed Gon starting to walk away. Without hesitation, I followed him, with Kurapika trailing behind us.

"Wait for me!" Leorio called out, hurrying to catch up.As we walked through the bustling town, I sensed someone following us. The persistent footsteps felt like a shadow lingering behind us, matching our pace. It must be that guy from the port. The town's energy shifted as we continued, people emerging from their homes, watching us with keen eyes. We stopped as an old hag appeared, her presence commanding attention

"E-Exciting?" Leorio stammered, taken aback. "Exciting... Exciting two-choice quiz!" she declared loudly, her voice echoing through the narrow street."You boys are headed for that tree on the hill, correct? To reach that tree, you must pass through this town. I shall give you a one-question quiz. You'll have five seconds to answer. Give a wrong answer, and you are out," the old hag explained, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of wisdom and mischief.

"So if one of them answers wrong, I'm disqualified too?" Leorio asked, skeptical."As if that would happen. What scares me is the likelihood of the vice versa happening," Kurapika replied, his calm demeanor unshaken."What was that?" Leorio snapped, his patience wearing thin."Can you both stop arguing? And before we start, you can come out now," Y/N interjected, addressing the presence they had all sensed. The mysterious man stepped out, his expression neutral as he looked at the group and then at the hag.
