As the door slid open with a heavy metallic clang, we emerged from the Trick Tower, blinking against the sudden light of day. The warden stood before us, an imposing figure with a demeanor that mirrored the gravity of the trials we had faced. "Congratulations on escaping the Trick Tower," he declared, his voice echoing across the courtyard where we gathered. "All that remains now are the 4th phase and the final phase." He pointed toward an island in the distance. "The 4th phase will take place on Zevil Island. But first..." With a snap of his fingers, a subordinate appeared holding a box with a hole on top.

"Now, each of you will draw lots," the warden continued. "Within this box are exactly 26 numbered cards, each corresponding to your badge. The number you draw will determine whom you hunt, and who hunts you." Confusion rippled through the crowd as we tried to grasp the implications of this draw. Hisoka, ever the confident one, stepped forward and plunged his hand into the box without hesitation. He retrieved his badge and returned to his place seamlessly. One by one, we followed suit. As it became my turn, I carefully removed my badge, noticing a sticker covering it. I pocketed it after drawing, concealing my identity from prying eyes.

The boat ride to Zevil Island was fraught with tension. Conversations were terse, each of us contemplating the challenges ahead. Leorio, always pragmatic, exchanged a brief farewell as we disembarked onto the rain-soaked shore. "See you later, Leorio," I called after him as he disappeared into the forest's edge. "Yeah, yeah," he replied, waving over his shoulder. Alone now, I entered the dense foliage, my senses alert to every sound and movement. The objective was clear: find my target within a week, or risk elimination. "This is a pain," I muttered to myself, frustrated. "How am I even supposed to find them?" Crackling leaves and a rustle of branches alerted me to an approaching presence. Without warning, a figure burst into view, brandishing a knife. "Give me your badge or die!" the assailant demanded, aggression seething beneath the threat. "He says that, but he's literally coming at me with a knife," I thought, assessing the situation quickly.

I sidestepped the knife's arc, executing a swift counterattack that incapacitated my aggressor. With a calculated blow to the liver and a follow-up punch, he crumpled against a tree, unconscious. "Scum," I muttered under my breath, turning away. Nearby, butterflies fluttered around, a stark contrast to the violence that had just transpired. Continuing deeper into the forest, I stumbled upon a serene clearing with a reflective lake. I filled a flask with water, a respite before continuing my hunt. "Now to find 23," I murmured, the number etched into my memory.

Time Skip: 4 Hours Later

Hours passed, marked by relentless rain and chilling cold. Despite my efforts, I found no trace of 23 or any substantial leads. Frustration welled up as I retraced my steps, inadvertently returning to the scene of my earlier confrontation. I noticed the absence of my fallen foe's badge, a reminder of the stakes at hand. Suddenly, a snap of a twig behind me jolted my senses into high alert. Whirling around, I faced my target: a figure cloaked in black with an ominous oni mask.

"I'll say this once," the masked figure began, her voice low and menacing. "Leave Visernder side and join my master's side, or face the consequences." "Give me a reason why," I retorted, steeling myself for the impending clash. Before she could respond, swords drawn, we lunged at each other with deadly intent.

In a flurry of movement, Y/n and the masked girl clashed with precision and speed. Sparks flew as their blades met, each testing the other's skill and resolve. The masked girl, despite her initial advantage, found herself momentarily on the defensive as Y/n countered with unexpected agility. His throwing knives proved to be a dangerous addition to his arsenal, keeping her at bay. Their duel intensified, the masked girl pressing forward relentlessly. Y/n, however, managed to evade her strikes with nimble footwork and calculated counters. Each move was a testament to his training and determination. As the confrontation reached a critical juncture, two additional figures descended from the trees, joining the masked girl's side. Their arrival shifted the odds against Y/n, forcing him to rethink his strategy.

"Three against one? That's hardly fair, don't you think?" Y/n protested, his voice laced with indignation. "I don't care," the masked girl retorted coldly. "Take him down." With synchronized precision, they attacked Y/n from multiple angles, their coordinated assault driving him into retreat. Dodging and weaving through the dense forest, Y/n narrowly escaped their lethal blows.  "Shit, split up and find him!" the masked girl commanded, frustration evident in her voice. Y/n utilized the confusion to his advantage, employing diversionary tactics to mislead his pursuers and kill the two lackeys. He left decoys and traps in his wake, buying precious moments to regain his bearings.

The chase led them to a clearing where Y/n, hidden in the shadows, observed his pursuers with grim determination. His resolve hardened as he prepared for the final confrontation. "Where is he? And where are those fools?" the masked girl muttered impatiently, not knowing they died, scanning the surroundings. Unexpectedly, Y/n emerged from the forest's edge, wiping blood from his blade with an air of finality. "I'm done playing," he declared, his tone chillingly calm. "You've bothered me enough and to be honest it's really annoying"

The atmosphere grew tense as an unseen pressure filled the air, unsettling the masked girl. "He's not just an ordinary kid,"  she realized, a hint of fear creeping into her voice. "Give me your badge and leave," Y/n demanded, his eyes unwavering. Reluctantly, the masked girl handed over her badge, and went in for a slash, but a throwing knife intercepted her attempt, embedding itself in her skull with deadly accuracy. "Worthless," Y/n muttered dismissively, retrieving his knives and continuing his solitary quest. Night descended, casting shadows across the island as Y/n sought refuge in a secluded spot. A tree with branches overhanging a tranquil lake offered solace amidst the chaos.

"I hate being covered in blood," Y/n grumbled, his exhaustion evident as he washed himself clean in the lake and changed into dry clothes

"I hate being covered in blood," Y/n grumbled, his exhaustion evident as he washed himself clean in the lake and changed into dry clothes. "Time for sleep,"  he sighed wearily, settling beneath the tree's protective canopy.

*Snap.*

Y/n tensed at the sound, instincts honed from days of relentless pursuit kicking into action. In one swift motion, he readied a throwing knife, poised to defend himself. "Not again," he muttered, eyes scanning the darkness. A figure materialized from the shadows, someone he had hoped to avoid.
