She was clad in a little black cocktail dress. The ones they show in them magazine at the grocery mart. Her long tan legs seemed to go on for miles. The dainty little straps made her strong shoulders look feminine. Her hair the color of sand flowed down her back in waves.

"Wow. . . ummmm. . . You look great." I stumble through my sentence looking like an idiot.

"You look nice as well."

"Here you go," I mumble thrusting the tulips into her hands.

"Thank you. Let me give these to Sam and then we can get on with the evening." I just nod as she disappears back into her room before returning soon after.

"What do you have planned?" She questions with a dazzling smile painted on her sculpted features.

"Ummm. . . about that, I sorta didn't plan anything. I tried to call in a reser-something but I don't know if you are like vegan or something so I didn't want to assume. So my plan is to walk down this street and find somewhere to eat. How does that sound?" I kept my sight trained on the ground not knowing what her reaction would be because I didn't save us a table or make a plan.

"Well for your knowledge I am not vegan or vegetarian."

"So you're not mad that I didn't save us a table or whatever?"

"No. And just for the record, it's kinda cute how you are so worried about this date."

"Nothing I do is cute," I state puffing out my chest for effect.

"First off that's wrong. When you go up for a save your eyebrows scrunch together and that's really cute, The way you drink coffee is cute." She stares at me like she's looking into my soul.

"So Just tell me when to stop," I mumble as we walk side by side bumping shoulders occasionally.

"Sushi?" She questions grabbing my hand to stop me.

"Sure." If I'm being honest I've never had sushi.

We walk into the restaurant. I grab us a table for two. "So what looks good to you?" She questions.

"I ain't ever had sushi but I ain't allergic to anything. So order what you want and I'll eat."

"I can do that." The waiter comes back and Kristie goes through the motions of ordering our food. I grab a bud light from him and Kristie grabs a glass of wine. Once he leaves Kristie turns her attention towards me. "So what's your favorite color?"

"Green. How about yours?"

"More of a pink person myself."

"I could've figured that." I chuckle before asking my question. "Any pets?"

"Me and my ex-girlfriend had a dog together. its name was Dexie. You?"

"Yeah, back home I have a guardian dog named Waylon. But none in Germany."

"What is the craziest thing you've ever done?"

"Umm. . . Wow, I guess when I jumped off the roof at Bama. Or when I decided to get branded. But that was more dumb than crazy."

"You got branded? Where?"

"On my pelvis. Now, what's the craziest thing you've ever done?"

"I traveled across state lines one night to meet a girl from the internet. When I was 17."

"Do I need to kill her?" I question with a menacing glance.

"No. She was sweet."

"That's good."
