The morning came rather quickly. Clambering into the truck was one of a stumble and sore limbs. "hey kid, I know last night was a lot. I'm sorry, I shouldn't of said all that but I have something else I want to bring up to you?"
"What is it?"
"Well Kristie's parents are flyinging into town this mornign and have invited both me and you out to dinner tonight after the game. If you're up for it id like it f you where there, but i understand if its a bad time and ill just say that you had school stuff or whatever."
"I think i'd like to meet them."
"Well then I'm picking you up a little early for school and we are heading to the stadium."
"Where am I gonna be while you're playing?"
"They have a box for injured players and kids and whatnot, but before the game and after you can be with me in the locker room until like an hour before game time."
"You sure it won't disturb the locker room?"
"I'll fight them if they have an issue, but no. I don't do all the fancy shit before games so it won't mess me up."
"Okay, well I'll see you a little bit later."
"I'll see you, kid. " She climbs out and starts walking towards a group filled with blonde bobbing heads. I drive back home, stopping for coffee and flowers on the way. Walking back up the stairs I'm trying to figure out what i have to wear so Kristies parents don't think a type of way about me. I walk into kristie sprawled across the couch clutching a bottle of water and the TV remote. "Hey I got you something?"
She perks up at the mention of gifts and climbs off the couch thanking me for the coffee and then the roses, moving quickly across the room to cut the stems diagonally and placing them in a vase. "So what do i need to wear tonight?"
"Anything you like?"
"No... What do i need to wear so your parents don't think I'm a jackoff?"
"They won't think you are?"
"Can you please pick me out an outfit?"
"Now that i can do?"
"Thank you baby." I kiss her lips before stalking to the kitchen to start on breakfast. She disappears into the bedroom shuffling through the shared wardrobe to figure out what we are wearing.

By noon I'm hustling to the school to grab Abi so i can make it intime for walk in photos or what you have it. I pull into the drop off circle leaving the truck running so Kristie doesn't sweat to death. "Hey I'm here to pick up Abigail Stark?"
"And you are?" the blonde headed bimbo bitches at me.
"I'm on her paper Nicole Stark"
"What the reason that she will be missing school today?"
"For personal reasons..."
"And what would that be?"
"Because I'm a Professional athlete." She types away at her computer before picking up the phone. Sitting in one of the empty plastic chairs as i wait for her. She finally pops her head in with an orange pass before bypassing the blonde headed witch. "Are we leaving now?"
"Lets go." Walking out from the fluorescent lighting the headache starts to build. Kristie slides into the middle as Abi sits on the passenger side. The drive to the stadium is rather short as Abi and Kristie chat away about their respective days and how they think the game is gonna go.
We pull up to the stadium and clamber out after Kristie directs me to the player/ staff parking. We greet the staff and then start walking when the team photographer calls us over to take photos. We do what she ask before continuing our walk into the stadium. We are the first two into the locker room. Kristie helps Abi with her math homework as I color in her drawing for art class. I can't do much but I help out when I can.
Slowly and surely the team starts to filter in all greeting Abi and whatnot. Her homework was finished and packed away when I walked her up to the box. "Who's gonna be in here?" She wondered aloud.
"I don't know kid. But it's only gonna be players family."
"What do I do if something happens?"
"Just get down to the sideline. I'll figure it out from there. I know you can run so you better get the hell out if something starts to happens."
"Okay."
"I'm gonna run back to the room and get my cleats and stuff but I'll be on the field in a minute and I'll stay there."
"Thank you." I kiss her head, jogging back to the locker room to grab my cleats and gloves. Warmups started and ended too soon. I was excited to get to play. I don't think abis ever seen me play.
The game starts and it was already a shit show. I don't know why Kristies sister wants to fuck with me but it was rather hard to keep the ball out of the net. It kept doing weird shit in the air. Driving me up the wall if I was being honest.
We go into halftime up one from a goal by Schmidt. I stay on the field having already told the staff my situation. I jog around the field trying to pass time.
The game restarted and Kristie wanted her goal... but so did Sam. I wasn't gonna let Sam score. Thankfully Kristie found the net early in the 60th minute. It was back and fourth my job wasn't easy this game but North Carolina liked to go low. I feared how much it would cost to get a new jersey as I felt the shoulder wear thin against the grass. By the time the whistle blew my jersey was ripped and every inch of my body was covered in grass.
I take off my gloves and look around. I catch Abi standing off to the side with a stadium worker. "Wanna come on the field?" I question with an outstretched hand.
She nods as help her onto the field. I pull my jersey from my shoulders as it clung to the sweat. "Is it fun?" She questions pointing to the net.
"Works over the farm."
"That's the truth." I shake hands with everyone else and go and meet Kristie with Sam and her parents who are standing off to the side.
I was halfway worried how they would take to Abi and how much Kristie had told them. This could make or break us and lord willing it didn't break us.

So I know it's been a year. I've had this chapter done I just haven't been on Wattpad. My fault. I got a boyfriend and he's amazing, I quit soccer and now I don't want to kill myself everyday. So I'm calling it the little wins. Hopefully I get back into writing but I'm not sure. Thank you to all who continue to read.
