Normani's POV

I was in the bathroom giving myself a pep talk

'You got this!' I thought

'Just lean in and kiss her! It's not that hard besides you've kissed her before'

After about ten minutes I finally walked back into the living room and was ready to pounce on her but I saw her eyes were closed

'Great now she's asleep' I thought

I decided to let her be and wash the dishes, she must've heard me making noises with the plates because I heard her speak up

"What are you doing?"

"I'm washing the dishes" I said in a duh tone.

'I know she see me washing the dishes' I thought and mentally rolled my eyes at her question

"Don't answer me like that" she said, her voice more stern than I've ever heard it before

I decided to push her a little "Or what?" My eyes flicking to her lips

She looked at me before chuckling and went to turn away

"That's what I thought" I said and turned back to washing the dishes only for her grab me by my waist, turn me around and begin to lean in, my heart started beating faster than its ever did

Her body pressed against mine as she pinned me against the wall

But she didn't actually kiss me, she used her index finger and thumbs to lift my head before kissing my cheek

I blushed at the gesture and even as she pulled away I could still feel her lips against my skin

"Is that a strap?" I asked playing dumb since I have in fact seen her but ass naked before but I doubt she remembers

She cleared her throat before pulling away and scratching the back of her neck

"No...I was born different let's just say that" she said sounding a bit nervous

I reached for it but the minute my hand brushed her crotch she stepped back and held my hand at bay

'Just a little taste please...you won't even notice I'm here' I thought my mind going back to that meme

"Wait, you're not freaked out about it?" She asked

"No, I think turned on is the word" I husked kissing down to her neck

"Oh" she moaned out before pulling away once again

"Don't get me wrong I love that you accept me like this after finding out about my 'extra package' but I want our first time to be special. So don't think I don't want you, I do very much and I'm happy your getting out of your comfort zone but I don't want us moving too fast, I want to savor the moment and get to know you more before taking the next step" she said keeping eye contact as her hands caressed my chin

"Okay, I understand completely" I replied and went back to washing the dishes

After doing so we went to the living room to watch TV

We turned off the movie and started watching some YouTube videos and one popped up with my name in the caption sparking my interest

"Let me see that one" I said to Y/N and she clicked on the video I requested

"And here she goes once again trending about her love life. The 25 year old singer, Normani is supposedly a part of the LGBTQ community according to her best friend who was also a part of the girl band fifth harmony. Dinah went live last night a bit on the drunk side and revealed 'That bitch is gay'" Rachel Biggs spoke then the media displayed a clip of Dinah's live last night

To say I was shocked was an understatement. I checked my phone and it was blowing up with people tagging me on different articles and posts about the matter

"That bitch" I gritted

"Hey, it's alright we'll get through this" Y/N stated and brought her hand up to my face

I didn't realize I was crying until she wiped away my tear which only caused more tears to fall

The next day

I felt numb, staring blankly at the wall in front of me.

The thought never ever crossed my mind that my best friend would do something like that, ever

"Normani" I heard a voice. I slowly turned away from the wall to see my mom and my dad walking into my house

Even though I'm pissed at my dad I'm happy he came here to check on me

They quickly ran over to me and hugged and that was enough to break another set of sob from my mouth. I clutched on to them as they rubbed my back.

After a few hours, Y/N showed up from work just after my parents left

"Hey babe" she called out when she saw me in the living room rewatching Dinahs live on one of the celebrity news channels

"Heyyy" I answered exited to see my baby

I waddled over to her with my blanket tightly wrapped around me

She wrapped her arms around me and swayed us both from side to side before leaning in and pecking my lips multiple times

"I bought us some crab legs" Y/N said which caused my face to light up even more

"I'm gonna go shower, you can start eating without me" she said letting go of me and I nodded focusing my eyes on the bag of King crab legs

I started eating and in the middle of doing so, I heard my front door open which caused me to stop and get up from the kitchen to see who it was

To my disbelief it was Dinah

"Hey" she said after a fee minutes of silence

"Why are you here?" I asked

When I say I'm pissed that's an understatement. I was livid.

"I'm here to say I'm sorry. I was drunk an-"

"Drunk or not you're supposed to be my bestfriend, you're mad at me you tell me, you feel like something is causing our friendship to drift you talk to me! Not get drunk and vent on Instagram. I haven't even accepted the fact that I'm apart of the LGBTQ and yet the whole world knows it. That's my story to tell not yours Dinah!" I yelled in anger

"I know" she cried

"Why the fuck would you do that!? Are you fucking crazy!!!" I shouted filled with rage

I didn't even realize I was standing in her face until I felt someone come in between us and I saw Y/N's face and her lips moving but I wasn't hearing anything she was saying

"I'm sorry..." Dinah admitted crying

And let me tell you friends I lost it...
