Third Person POV

Y/N and Normani made it back from Jamaica and are back to their regular schedule

Dinah, Normani and Y/N are currently at a restaurant having brunch

"Why am I here again?" Dinah asked as she looked at Y/N who was third wheeling

"I thought WE were going to brunch. What I she doing here?" Normani asked turning to Y/N as well

The French woman thought it was a good idea to set the two girls up on a blind brunch date so they could talk out there problems professionally knowing they won't fight in the public eye

"You two are here to talk about your problems. Dinah you need to explain what you said to me after the fight with Normani. Normani I want you to listen and don't speak until she's done. This is where this petty shit ends. Once we walk out this place you two aren't gonna go back and forth on the media acting like immature little elementary school kids" Y/N said sternly which cause both ladies to roll their eyes

"I just think it's funny tha-"

"Normani" Y/N said sternly, interrupting the singer's venting

Normani ducked her teeth and looked out the window

"I was in a mix of emotions when I 100% knew you were getting serious with Y/N. I was pissed, jealous and sad-"

"Why? I would never let a relationship come in between our friendship and tou know that" Normani said

"I know but I wasn't jealous as a bestfriend... it was during the 7/27 album making that I realized I had feelings for you and all our time being friends I've always known you as straight so i didn't bring it up to you. Then Y/N came in the picture years later and I listened to the way you talked about her and I got distant because I somehow felt... I don't know, betrayed I guess" Dinah said playing with the end of the table cover

Normani looked over at her best friend with sympathy

"And then I asked you to kiss me..." Normani verbalized

Y/N went to scold her for talking out of turn but then she registered the sentence she just heard and remained quiet

"That's why I left. Then when I went home I saw the photo of you two at the airport which is why I didn't talk to you for so long and then I went on the live which I am really sorry about" Dinah continued

"I'm sorry for using you. Even though you knew I was straight you should've said something to me back then. We could've talked it out all this wouldn't have happened if you did. I'm not pinning this on you even though it is tour fault but still" Normani chimed in

"I know" Dinah replied

"But I'm shocked you actually did that live while your with Daya"

"What?" Y/N snapped

Dinah gave Normani a glare to which Normani smirked

"You're with my best friend yet you-"

"We aren't serious, it's just we hook up every now and then that's it." Dinah clarified

"Thank you for that" she added sarcastically to Normani

"I forgive you but I can't forget what you did. Because of that I don't think it's good to go back to being best friends. I mean yeah we can stay in touch but that's as far as I'll let this go" Normani said
