Chapter 6

Third Person POV

Beyoncé sat back in her chair sipping on her glass of lemonade as the members at the table sat in silence

"Well... Normani, I was planning to go to this concert later and I-" Blair said breaking the silence as he turned to face Normani who sat there pondering her next move

"She's not interested" Beyoncé interjected

"I don't think you have a say in this sitting" Blair answered

"Neither do you but here we are" the detective said

"Can we please just take in the fact that we have a very serious family matter on our hands" Normani chimed in

"Right... I should go." Blair said standing to his feet but Derrick stopped him

"What? We haven't even gotten to eat dinner yet"

"Daddy please" Normani subjected

"I'll text you later" the young man said to Normani before he left the house and as soon as he did, Y/N exited the bathroom

"I need a word with Normani and Noelle please" she said and both the Hamilton sisters stood to their feet

Normani led them to her room and closed the door behind them once they had entered. Y/N stood in the middle of the room while Normani took a seat on the edge of her bed while Noelle sat on the chair of Normani's make-up vanity

"So..." Noelle trailed off

"I have made a decision. One that will either strengthen or break my relationship with you" Y/N said as she turned to Normani

Normani started to grew even more nervous as she impatiently awaited the decision

"I have decided to be apart of Y/Middle/N's life and seeing as Noelle will be behind bars soon, Y/Middle/N will be staying with me. I know it is complicated between us three right now but this is what I think is best" Y/N admitted and looked between her girlfriend and her ex-girlfriend

"I don't mind you taking care of you daughter, I mind that she is my niece. If we had kids right now they'd be sister-cousins, now that is complicated. I know I can't change the past because we both had no knowledge on this but I know Noelle is still in love with you. To her she just walked away but to you she died and you grieved for so long thinking that you lost her. Now she's back and I'm just worried about what that means for us. Because I do love you" the singer confessed

"She's right. I still love you, I never stopped loving you and Y/Middle/N is my daily reminder that I do still love and cherish what we had together. I know what I did was wrong and I kept you in the dark for 4 years but my love for you never died. And I know this is a lot of pressure on you right now because we just found out we're related but I see that she loves you and so... I'll try to stay out of your way. The only time you'll see me is when I meet up with you to exchange Y/middle/N until I go to jail" Noelle stated standing to her feet

"And Normani, I'd really like to build a relationship with you as my sister before I go. We've lost so many years already" she added as she turned to her younger twin

"Thank you for that but my love for you died when I saw you in that apartment." Y/N said as she answered Noelle whose heart clenched at the very words

"And I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question on this matter just the other day but it's clear now. I have grieved her death for years and now all the emotions when I kept bottled up inside is finally hitting the surface, all the hurt and anger and the pain... I just want be able to bond with my daughter" she added now facing Normani

Noelle started to shed a few tears at the words spoken but she was relieved to know that Y/N is willing to be the other parent in their child's life

"So we can exchange numbers and we'll arrange the days when I can get her to bond with and so forth. I won't apologize if what I said was too harsh because that is the truth coming from my heart. You know me and you know one thing I hate is to be deceived" Y/N said to the older twin and they exchanged numbers before Noelle left the room leaving the couple to have the room for themselves

It was silent for a few minutes before Normani stood to her feet and hugged the older woman. Y/N hugged her back, embracing the warm and loving feeling of having her lover in her arms once again. Normani went to lean in for a kiss but Y/N turned away from it and pulled away from the hug leaving Normani confused

"What's wrong?" the singer asked

"Who's Blair to you?" Y/N asked as she now took a seat on the bed where her girlfriend was once seated

"He is my ex-boyfriend..." she trailed off looking anywhere else but at Y/N, a sign that she was nervous which the lieutenant knew all too well

"I was just curious because I saw on my Instagram a photo of you and this dude looking happily in love"

"He just took me to the amusement park to help me clear my head. That's all" Normani explained

"Your dad seems to love him... he's family according to him"

"Babe you know my dad hasn't been so happy with me coming out as I am and he's known Blair for years, we were high school sweethearts and he just got used to us being together all the time"

"I don't like it and I don't like him. I don't trust nobody but you so when I see a photo like that pops up especially after you told me you wanted some space and time to clear your head... I am not pleased" Y/N confessed

"So what I can't hang out with other people? Are you jealous?" the singer questioned

Y/N chuckled and stood to her feet

"I cannot be jealous over what's already mine" she husked as she approached her lover

"I am simply not pleased with the interaction of you both in the photo. That and the fact that your dad keeps disrespecting me to my face. He obviously knew I was gonna be here so he wanted to rub it in my face" the lieutenant vented

"I'm sorry" Normani apologized

"Thank you but I wanna hear it from him. That spiteful and ungrateful son of a bitch" Y/N spat

"And you ain't getting shit from this spiteful and ungrateful son of a bitch" the two heard and turned to face the voice

"Ever since you came into Normani's life you have caused nothing but drama and chaos. She was perfectly fine and then boom she's into girls or should I say dykes like you" Derrick spoke angrily

"Daddy! Stop it!" Normani yelled as she held Y/N's hand noticing she was about to pull out her gun

"Drama? I've done nothing but shown respect to everyone in this house but you are the only one that keeps fighting me al because Normani and I are in love?" the officer argued

"In love? Please. This is just a phase, it will pass sooner or later."

"Why do you hate me so much!?" Y/N yelled in frustration

"I don't have to explain myself to you dyke or should I say freak? A female with a male's private part? Come on that's scary and my daughter is crazy over you?" Derrick laughed

All Y/N saw was red and she charged at him, tackling the older man to the ground. The two went back and forth before a shot was fired and immediately the two froze

"Normani!" Y/N yelled and quickly got up to catch Normani before she could hit the ground
