Third Person POV

Months later

Tour has ended and Normani is finally back home in Los Angeles

Y/N and Normani have grown a lot closer since then. They have been together for the past 6 months of the tour and no one has a clue as they stuck to their word to keep their relationship private

Normani is back in the studio writing new songs but taking it slow as she is still recovering from tour and a round of interviews

Y/N's POV

I got out of bed and started spreading my bed

I have a long day at work today cause I'm covering for my partner today, well half the day.

"Good morning beautiful" I said when I saw her smiling at me through the phone screen

Normani and I have been a numerous dates and think she's getting more and more out of her comfort zone enough so that she said yes to being my girlfriend

"Good morning baby" she said smiling shyly

"You called me baby" I grinned makimg her blush"Why you up so early?"

"I have to go to the studio and record a song, my fans been waiting" she answered

She stayed on the phone with me while I got ready for work

"What you gawking at ma'am?" I smirked when I saw her eyes glued to my abs

"I'm looking at my fine ass girlfriend" she answered biting her lip

"Don't bite your lip" I said sternly

"Why?" She asked raising her eyebrow

"Because I'm the only one that's supposed to bite it. Ooh you lucky I'm not with you right now" I said grabbing my keys and phone to head out

She blushed hard. The whole time I drove to work she stayed on the phone with me

"Alright baby girl I have to hang up now" I said after turning the car off, she pouted making me copy her actions to which she smiled.

We ended the call and I headed inside the station

"You look chirpy. Who's the girl?" One of my coworkers asked

I looked at her with my eyebrow raised

"None of your business" I said before I walked right past her and went to my office

It's now my lunch time, me and my partner decided to hit up Chipotle.

So here we are pulling up to the entrance. We got out the car and walked up to the cashier

Mike, my partner ordered first since I didn't know what I wanted. While I was thinking about what to get I felt arms wrap around me from the back reaching for my gun

"What the fu-" I cut myself off when I saw it was Normani standing there with a proud smirk with a buff guy behind her 'must be her bodyguard'

She was clad in baggy clothes, baggy clothes to be exact with shades and my hat

"That's what you supposed to do periodt" she said before bringing me into a hug and I kissed her forehead

"Girl you almost gave me a heart attack reaching for gun and shit" I breathed out hugging her back

"What are you doing here? I thought you were at the studio?" I added

"I was but I got hungry then I saw your patrol number on the cop car and I knew you were here, I decided to come in and see you and get something to eat" she said slightly pulling away from me

I had told her the number of my cop car so incase of any emergency she could add that extension to get to me because I hardly answer my personal phone when I'm at work

"Next!" The cashier said and I lead Mani to the cashier with me. I made her order before ordering my meal and went to pay

"I can pay for my stuff" she said smiling but I knew her sarcastic smile

I ignored her plea and pushed my bank card to the cashier only for Normani to put hers over mine

"Look there's Ciara" I said as I turned to the window pointing out there

"Where!?" She asked turning around to see and I gave the cashier my card

When she realized that I lied Normani hit my arm pouting and I wrapped my arm over her shoulder pulling her into me as she placed her card back in her purse

She couldn't stay and have lunch with me because she had to get back to the studio. I gave her a quick kiss and let her go

When she left Mike gave me the look

"Don't start" I said but of course he didn't listen

"She's the girl that got you all chirpy and shit" he teased

Third Person POV

"There is nothing to be nervous about" Normani said in a reassuring tone as she fixed Y/N's button down shirt

"You look like you're about to crap your pants" Anais said before she started laughing at her older sister

"tais toi. (Shut your mouth)" Y/N answered as she sent a death glare over to Ama who was still laughing

"tu ne peux pas me faire (you can't make me)" Ana argued

"Oh ouais? regarde ça (oh yeah? Watch this?)" The French woman said

She then turned off the lights in the room which caused Ana to scream as a result of her being scared of the dark

"Cut it out and turn on the light Y/N" Normani spoke sternly

Y/N sighed but did as she was told

"She started it" Y/N mumbled which caused the singer to smile and peck Y/N's pouting lips

"Yeah listen to your girl" Ana teased

Y/N went to turn the lights off again but Ana ran out of the room before she could do so

The three were at Normanis house as they were getting ready for dinner. Normani's parents were coming over hence why Normani was trying to calm her girlfriend of 6 months down

"You think they're gonna like me?" Y/N asked getting nervous all over again

"You're gonna be great. My mom loves everyone" normani admitted

"What about your dad?"

"Uh.... he'll come around" Normani stated

"That's not making me feel better about this" Y/N called out when she saw Normani leaving the bedroom

Y/N looked at herself in the mirror to see if she was looking decent to meet her girlfriend's parents

Just as she did, the doorbell rang notifying everyone in the house that the parents have arrived

"Oh merde (Oh shit)" the police lieutenant whispered
