Chapter 5

The Next Day

Y/N's POV

I sat in my office scrolling through my Instagram and I saw this fan page of Normani, I shrugged and went to leave the page but I saw the mot recent photo they posted and I clicked on it.

It was a photo of Normani and this guy at this game tent and he was giving her a teddy bear. Her smile was a genuine grin and he was looking at her with pure admiration which made me want to punch his ass through the screen

I exited the app and sat there staring into space just thinking

'Space my ass' I thought

My finger hovered over her contact for a while before called her. It rang for a while and just as I went to hang up she picked up

"Hello?" she answered

"I thought you wanted space Normani. What the hell are you doing?" I asked

"Oh... This isn't Normani" the person said and I was confused

"I'm sorry then who is this?"

"Noelle what do you think your doing? Is that my phone?" I heard Normani call out

"Noelle?" I whispered in disbelief

"Y/N?" Normani said this time

"Babe?" she called out again but my mind wasn't with her at the moment and I hung up

'What is Noelle doin at Normani's?' I thought

Not long after my phone started ringing and it was Normani. I sat there looking at the caller ID honestly not knowing what I was gonna say to her if I did answer. It stopped ringing and then it rang again

This time I answered the call but didn't say anything

"Y/N/N" Normani said through the phone

"Why is Noelle with you?" I blurted

"It's complicated" she whispered

"What? She's my ex. My ex is in the same room as you that is complected and confusing because I know you both and your anger and hers can start world war 3" I said standing to my feet

"We need to talk" she said

"So that's two things to discuss then" I said

"Why two things?" he asked

"You and that guy last night" I said and she remained silent

"Can you come over for dinner tonight? I'm at my parent's house."

"Why is Noelle at your parents' house? What the hell are you two up to?" I asked

"Just get here by 7 please? I'll send you the address" she said and hung up

I left my office and went to Beyoncé's cubicle

"Tea time?" she asked and I nodded

Beyoncé and I pulled up to the unfamiliar house and we sat in the car for a few minutes. I was a nervous reck so I asked Bey to accompany me

"You ready to go in?" she asked

"Not really but I don't have a choice, she sounded serious on the phone" I answered

"Man I hope I don't have to stop any fight tonight cause right now I'm off duty" Bey said and I chuckled

"Let's hope so" I said before exiting the car

We walked up to the porch and I ringed the doorbell. The door opened to reveal Normani and she didn't even greet me she just walked away

'Disrespectful much?' I thought as Bey and I made our way inside the house

When we turned the corner there at the dining table was dinner and the entire family and Noelle and Normani were seated at either ends of the table avoiding eye contact

"This should be fun" Beyoncé mumbled before taking a seat

I sat beside her and all eyes were on me

"Sorry I'm late and I brought my friend with me if you don't mind" I said

"Not at all darling" Ms. Andrea said

"Friend or side girlfriend?" Derrick asked and Beyoncé busted out laughing

"Derrick" Andrea scolded and he shrugged

"We aren't together whatsoever. I'm happily engaged" Bey clarified

"Lets dig in" Miss Barbara said but Derrick stopped us

"We have one more guest" he said and as he said that the doorbell rang and he got up to answer the door

Normani looked at her mother confused but Andrea just shrugged as well as Ms. Barbara

Derrick came back with the guy I saw in the photo earlier and I closed my eyes trying to calm down

"Daddy what are you doing?" Normani asked nervously as she looked between me and her father

"We're having dinner sweetheart" he answered

"Why don't you go sit beside Normani, that seat is empty" Derrick said to the guy and I rolled my eyes knowing exactly hat his ass was up to

"This keeps getting better and better" Beyonce commented after drinking her glass of water

"Dad this is a family matter" Normani pushed

"But he is family Mani, he's your first love after all" her father revealed

"Derrick!" Andrea and Barbara yelled but I slowly nodded before a chuckle left my lips

"At this point just tell me what's going on. I'm not hungry anymore" I spoke up

"Normani est ma tante et maman est sa sur jumelle et tu es mon autre maman (Normani is my aunty and mommy is her twin sister and you are my other mommy)" Y/M/N said no one understood but Noelle and I

When she said that I froze

"Y/M/N" Noelle scolded and the little girl pouted

I locked eyes with Noelle and she looked over at Normani

"I guess she just told you" Normani said and I nodded slowly

"What'd did she say?" Bey asked

"Normani and Noelle are sisters" I said

"Wait I'm lost" the guy said

"Blair not right now please" Normani said rubbing her temples

"Wow" Beyoncé breathed out

"Y/N can we talk?" Both Noelle and Normani said at the same time

I was starting to get dizzy

"Can I use the bathroom for a minute?" I asked standing to my feet

"First door on your right" the Blair guy said

I made my way into the bathroom and closed the door behind me

"Damn it" I muttered
