Loki isn't a bad guy.

Sure, he indulges on the occasional mischief. Sabotages the usual plan. Casual tuesdays of pranks. But everyone always saw him as a bad guy. No matter what he did.

Some part of him believed them. Maybe he was just a "Bad guy"

Currently he was being kept at the compound as his punishment. Odín decided to let Loki's punishment be crueler than rotting in an Asgardian cell. So he had to live a couple years on Midgard with Thor and his friends.

Well that man he threw out the window of the tower, whatever his name was, brought a new superhero to the little club he called "The Avengers."

Well one day a few of the Avengers were sitting around in the common area: Thor and Loki were on opposite ends of the loveseat, Sam and Bucky were cooking in the kitchen, Tony and the new recruit were sitting at the barstools.

"Hey Lokes tell me something." Stark inquired.

"I didn't do it."

"Huh?"

"I said I didn't do it. Whatever you're more than likely going to charge me with." Loki said calmly not even looking up from his book.

"Ok whatever. Listen I just have a question-"

"Mr. Loki sir what book are you reading?!" The new recruit had made his silent way to the god and was looking over his shoulder.

"KID GET AWAY FROM LOKI HE'S dAnGerOus!!" The Iron Man stated simply.

Thor laughed and dismissively waves between Loki and the nearly glowing child.

"It's ok Man of Iron, Loki could never hurt a child!!"

Loki closed his book, tossing it into his opposite hand, his green magic flared around it giving him a beautiful and delicate dagger.

"Is that a challenge brother?"

"No-"

The child spoke again, gasping; "Omg omg omg Mr.Loki sir can i see your knife? It's so pretty and shiny!!" The young superhero seemed intrigued and not even slightly scared of the god.

Neither Tony nor Thor spoke, and Sam and Bucky were long gone.

Loki's voice broke as he spoke: "I require a different child."

The child held out a hand.

"I'm Peter by the way, Peter Parker, or Spider-Man."

Loki took his hand, and ignoring Thor's shock, he shook it lightly. "I'm Loki of Asgard, Odinson, rightful king of Jotenheim and Asgard, God of Mischief among many other things, and master of the towel hat." Loki heard Thor grumble at his new added title. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Peter."

Before he could let go of the child's hand, Peter took Loki and pulled the god in for a hug.

Loki immediately stiffened. Was this some sort of battle tactic? A new warfare strategy? What was this and why was it incredibly comforting?

"It's ok Mr.Loki I don't think you're a bad guy."

Loki didn't know why his eyes were leaking. But they were. And he simply hugged the child back, ignoring his brother's face and Stark's gawking.

It was that day Loki decided he would protect this child at all costs. And not let a single person harm Peter, ever. He was too precious for this world.
