Walking into my room, I took in a deep breath. Heading over to my dresser I see a photo that was framed, it had my mother and I in it. Caressing the photo I hear my mothers voice. "You're doing it again." I sighed. "Don't forget, you are the one allowing me in Stephanie." "Why can't I just forget about you. I clearly don't want to feel again." I asked turning to her. "That's not who you are. believe it or not, you tend to be just like me." She scoffs. "And I hate that. I care so much, I am this close to turning it back on. I just don't want to remember your death mom." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"I'll find a way back to you and your father Stephanie." She sighs. "What if you don't." I said. "I'll make it happen, even if that means losing my magic." She shrugs. "I have some friends here, they've been trying to help me get out of this other side. It just takes time." I nodded and sighed. Leaving my room, I headed downstairs. Sitting down into the lounging area, I scanned through some books. "Stephanie." Hope calls out to me. Looking up I rolled my eyes.

"What." I said. "Almost killing Mr Saltzman was a bad idea." She sighed. "He had it coming." I shrugged. "Damon." Elena calls out making her way to the Lounge area. "Have you seen your father." She asks. "No, not that I care actually." I huffed. "Come with me." She drags me going into one of the rooms. "Elena, I seriously don't have time for any of your games right now." "Hear me out." She nods. "This was once Stefan's room." She said walking around admiring the room. "He's dead. Not like it's his room anymore." I crossed my arms.

"You know when I first was turned into a vampire, Stefan helped me through my transitioning." She smiled slightly. "First I had to drink animal blood, which is the worst." She giggled. "Why should we drink animal blood, we're monsters anyway." I said making a point. "True, but not all vampires are monsters Stephanie." "Some didn't have a choice." She said looking up at me. "I heard about how you turned. I'm sorry. I wished I was there to comfort you." I felt a lump in my throat.

"It's fine." I sighed. "It's not. When I turned it really wasn't my choice either. I was basically forced." She said. "What are we doing here." I asked. "Don't you want to know more about Stefan." I did, my father never really talked about him much. Elena makes her way to the bed and tries to push it. "A little hand please." I nodded and helped pushed the bed. Elena crouches and pulls out a wood plank from the ground. "This was Stefan's diary. Maybe if you read it, you'll get to know him more." She smiled slightly.

She hands me the diary and leaves me to be in the room alone. Caressing the journal it was dusty, opening up to the first page I examined his hand writing. Closing the diary I went to fix the bed how it was positioned before. Leaving the room i make my way into my bedroom. Jumping onto the bed I went back to the first page and read it. He was talking about hiding his secret, while moving to mystic falls and along the way he met Elena. Flipping through the pages I found a photo.

How old is Elena, didn't she said she turned around my age. The year on the photo says 1473. Turning to the back of the photo it says Katerina Petrova, Elena is a doppelgänger.
