chapter 10

my eyes were open but my body wouldn't move.

i was on my back and couldn't get up or turn, its happening again, i could see the familiar shadow moving closer to me a dark figure turns into someone familiar her brown eyes like mine but older and wide, a long teethy smile stretched across her face. Now she was right in front of me floating all around me, my body was shaking I'm petrified my chest was tightening up in pain i could feel the heavy tears pour out, as I cried out but I still cant move, she's laughing at me as i shake, someone help me I'm going to shut down. I couldn't see anyone until large arms grabbed me safely I woke up to his face. clinging to him I was breathless he saved me, I could feel my eyes closing and everything else went black.

Atlas
Her screaming could be heard from a cross the room, I was laying in bed until I could hear the whimpering turn into loud cries and ran into her bedroom and she was shaking while looking upwards but nothing was there. Running to her she wouldn't move her body, grabbing her shoulders I gently shook her awake "hey can you hear me?" Poor girl was panicking  she didn't hear me her hands gripped my hoodie and pulled me close to her she was muttering under her breath I couldn't hear her. I gently got into the bed with her head tucked resting in my shoulder and her arms and legs were wrapped around me, she was shivering I took my hoodie off and put it on her. "Anisah look at me are you okay baby"  her sad eyes looked at me she was wrapped around me like a koala not letting go. she was shaking so bad.

Her face was all red and her eyes were watering again. With a sigh I got up with her in my arms "that's it your coming to my bed and your going to sleep beside me I hate seeing you like this" she just snuggled deeper into my shoulder I don't know how to stop her from crying. I managed to get on my bed with her head now resting on my chest and she was in a deep slumber.

I got my laptop from besides me and began researching, i heard sleep paralysis could be very  terrifying and I wanted to end her suffering from it. The way she cried, my heart broke for her I could feel myself getting worked up, never have I seen this mouthy girl in such agony and I never want to see her like that again. I was too tired so end up up falling asleep before wrapping my arms around her. they way i treated her these last few days have been eating me up inside i felt the guilt I felt increased when i saw her in that state. i tucked her into my arms and fell back asleep.

She just coughed in my face "oopsie" she was so cute. It was morning already. The events of a few hours ago hit me and I sat up straight and hitting my forehead in the back of Anisahs head. "Shit fuck" she held her head "what did you do that for it was an accident" oh right she coughed on me "why would you do that, right in my face now I'm gonna get spots" I tried to wipe her dirty bacteria off my face. She looks tiny in my hoodie like a little caterpillar wrapped in it's cocoon. 

I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards me. "Do you want to talk about last night or shall i leave it for now?" She didn't reply and only looked down playing on the long sleeves. "Your mean" I heard her small whisper "i know I am baby, but I'll try even harder  and if I ever hurt you again you can shoot me" she gasped and looked at me "don't say things like that, and I don't want to speak about it at all"
"No absolutely not I don't mind holding off until your ready but we will sometime, you can't keep this to yourself"
"Why do you even care, aren't you planning on killing me though" of course she would be sarcastic and petty. I held both of her hands "I did not mean a single thing back then I know I have shitty emotions but all that stops now. She nodded at me "I understand and thank you for trying to be better but I'm not forgiving you yet I mean you did point a gun at me' fuck I m a idiot and deserved to be beaten for what I said and did to her.

i walked out of his room, my stomach was hurting with anxiety from last night, he knows now and i hate it, the feeling of shame and vulnerability hits me hard and i want to curl away. lost on thought i bumped into roman who turned the same direction as me. "watch where your going idiot?" his glare was not scary, "I'm hungry can you make me breakfast" he stopped to look down at me, before his eyes travelled further down to the big hoodie that definitely is not mine. "ill make you whatever you want if you tell me why your wearing his clothes?" 

 as if that would sway me. i was going to walk away before he quickly said "ill tell you what he said about you" i stopped in my tracks "food and tea" i pointed at him and followed roman to the kitchen, "so what would you like to eat?" i could eat a cake right now. sweet things heal you better then medicine. "i want chocolate waffles" he smiled "good choice take a seat" i sat down on the stool and started spinning around, on the other side of the table roman was mixing up ingredient's, "i was cold so Atlas gave me his hoodie" he scoffed before shaking his head. his dark eyes stared into my brown ones, "in 19 years of knowing him, he has never cared about any girl enough to give them his clothes." why did my heart have to flutter? he probably felt bad because of my frightened night. "I'm not lying, now tell what he said about me" we heard footsteps from behind before

Zion came into the kitchen, "ooh tell me what he said too" "none of your business now get lost" roman stopped smiling when Zion spoke, ignoring roman he walked to me and leaned on the table "good morning sweet girl, how did you sleep? its going to take me a long time to get used to getting so many compliments. "i slept fine thank you how about you?" he gave me a small smirk before leaning down to my ear, "it would have been better if I had you next to me" i pushed him away from before getting up to stand next to roman who's eyes never left me.

i motioned him with my fingers to lean down he did and i whispered into his ear "tell me what he said" he let out a big sigh, why was he being so dramatic just tell me, Zion looked confused and gave roman a look, "he told us he liked you and called you beautiful" from my reaction Zion stood up and towered the both of us me more then roman, "what the fuck did you just say to her" his smile now gone, but i have more to worry about he has to be lying to me when did Atlas tell them this. "she asked for answers and i gave them to her" he shrugged his shoulders before getting back to making breakfast, zion slumped down onto the stool besides me, "how have you been, and be honest to me" before i could answer everyone else walked in, I'm so thankful for their interruption, "ooh waffles give me some"

before you read on further let me just tell you this it is really easy for men to get angry. "im not making them for anyone but Anisah" Manny was not going to give up, "why not your stood there making them, roman ignored him and set a plate in front of me and filled with with waffles fruits cream and chocolate. i truly love this man, ladies and gentlemen get in line because this man will treat you well and make you the best dishes. Manny gave him puppy eyes and he actually looked really cute damn. "fine but just this once. " everyone else took a seat. and we began to talk. it felt nice and dare i say like a small family. i don't remember the last time i sat with someone and actually interacted with them, my life has always been sad and boring but since i came here I'm suddenly bursting with emotions everywhere.

the dullness has somewhat left me, i feel human again.  

my luck seemed to have run short because moments later while were eating, the glass in the window living room shattered with bricks flying in, loud alarms started blaring and I feel arms wrap around me, bear carefully places me under the table that's covered by a cloth. "stay here and be quiet can you do that for me" he caresses my cheek, I nod my head before going further under the table. I hear shouting coming in and bear disappears. "COME ON OUT EVERYONE LETS HAVE A FAMILY REUNION." there were people inside the house, I didn't even finish my breakfast i still had the mango jelly to finish and I really wanted it. "what the fuck are you doing here, romans voice was stern unlike when its soft with me her voice was gruffy like a man it was low i wanted to see what she looked like, "where is my older brother roman baby" for some reason i knew she was talking about Atlas, i could hear loud footsteps coming down the stairs, Noah's words sent chills down me, "the last time i saw you i gave you a warning if you ever show your face here I will kill you" he was a scary man, "so pick Nia knife or gun" "I'm not here for you I'm here for my brother so call him and mind your own business" wow how is she not afraid of him, "right here what do you want Nia"

it was silent before she spoke again "dad wants you back home I'm here to deliver the message" she was demanding, "go tell dad that I-" before he could finish his sentence a loud bang noise ricochet across the room.
