Chapter 23

Atlas

Waking up to Anisah has to be one of my favourite parts of my day, her thick black curls spread across the pillows. She never liked is said it was hard to imagine but I loved it especially when I could pull it. She looked too beautiful in deep sleep her legs were spread across mine and her mouth was slightly open but still she had cast a magic spell on me. Sometimes she would giggle and talk in her sleep that was creepy but in a cute way.

I checked my phone only to see multiple messages left by an anonymous number.

'He's coming'
'Be careful'

Confusion took over me, who the fuck was this, getting up slowly so I don't wake up the sleeping beauty besides me I left the room to look for Roman.

"Could it be your sister trying to warn you" Roman had his glasses perched up with his brown hair tossed to the side his curls going crazy. "That bitch threatened us and now she's trying to help us from who"
"She fucking shot me"
It was silent before it struck me of-course
That piece of shit, "it has to be Arthur" sometimes it felt like Roman could read my mind.

"She shot me"

"Surely he wouldn't go as far as harming you right" he rolled his eyes before correcting himself, "Ofcourse he would"

"Right we will have a meeting and I'll try contacting Nia, our only priority is protecting Anisah" I won't allow anyone to hurt her, not the way I've been hurt but his hands.
Roman nodded before giving me a mischievous smile,"you love her don't you"  he nudged my shoulder in a teasing manner. I faced the truth instead of hiding from it.
"I've been in love with her for a long time."
"Have you spoken to Zion, you should he hasn't been himself since the both of you fought"
I nodded, "I'll settle things with him today"

"Is she the one"
With confidence, no hesitation "anisah made her way into my heart, and she's staying I'm going to marry that girl one day and soon."

"Woah buddy chill are you guys even dating."
Oh shit did I never ask her to be my girlfriend.

"Not yet but soon we will I'm still figuring out how to ask her" I was afraid to ask her, I knew she liked me I could see it in her eyes they spoke when she was too shy to tell me things, I can see it in her body language when she seeks me out before everyone else.
I completely forgot she was never meant to stay here for long I just had to make sure she kept quiet Marcus was a traitor he was feeding intel to Arthur so I had to get rid of him it was the only way, I've never been one to murder but with the power and wealth I have anybody I want can disappear but now she can't leave me I'll go insane. I fear that she might still want to go home especially with this recent threat. I knew this peace was going to come to an end but before all of that I'll make her mine.

"Bring everyone to my office we need to have a meeting"  with that said Roman got up and began to wake everyone up. Anisah would probably wake up later in the afternoon, that women could sleep through a hurricane. Her nightmares had stopped since she's been sleeping with me.

Oh my heart

My office had everyone inside. I glanced at Zion watching him play around with a vape before taking a puff and filling the room with the sweet smell of berries and smoke. "I think Nia sent out a warning, I'm not sure who it is but it's from an anonymous number" they all frowned at the mention of her name.
I showed them all the messages watching their reactions. 

Bear was the first to speak up, "why would it be her  she's never been on our side"  his hair was still a slight mess from his sleep, he wore a sleeveless top that showed how big he really was, his huge biceps would flex as he crossed his arms. There's no denying he was handsome obviously not as handsome as me.

"Yeah but she's never really been on Arthur's side either" manny spoke up.
Zion clicked his tongue, "have you forgotten how she spoke to you" manny rolled his eyes, "true but I know she doesn't hate us, me and atlas got away but Arthur had a strong grip on Nia and she knew we couldn't bring her here without someone's being hurt or killed."
He had a point I didn't have many enemies, but deep down I knew it was our father.

"It's Arthur, he still wants me to take over his empire"

"Then just do it" Noah said, he was twirling around in the chair clearly bored.
"No, i need answers first I need to know what happened to our mother. I need to know if she's still alive, only then I'll take over but right now no, I built my own in fact we have all built this business we don't need anything from him especially after what he did to us"
Manny looked down in sorrow, we did what we could to protect him the most as he's the youngest, me and Zion especially got hurt so badly our lives were constantly on the line.

"His empire is corrupt I want nothing from it if I take it I'll just burn it to the ground along with him and all his associates he thinks he's smart but I know everything about him, the children incident the trafficking, the prostitution I know it all, so if he comes I say let him, we've never been afraid of anyone."
I said what I said and from the looks I'm getting they all agree. These are my people we stuck by each other that's all we will ever need and now we have a new member of our crew, even if she's snoring away in bed.

"Meeting dismissed everyone leave expect you Zion" with that they all left however Manny decided to whisper something in Zion ear which got a pen thrown at his face "ouchie Zion the lion"

"We nee to talk"
"Yeah no shit"

"I don't want us to fight I absolutely hate it when we do, but we need to set some boundaries Anisah is mine, she's been mine since I saw her from her apartment many months ago, and even if you are like a brother to me you need to understand when to back to fuck of my women"

His glare was hard but gradually softened, "I know and I'm sorry, it feels so freeing being around her I forget who we are, I feel normal and I feel free, I feel light", I chuckled at that, "I know the feeling"

"I will back off but SHES still my friend, and there's nothing you need to worry about she and I had a conversation. Everything's cool besides your hits don't even hurt" we hugged each other with a smile on our face.

I remember when Arthur bought Zion home from his trip to Korea, he was a small kid with bright eyes full of wonder I felt sorry for him because soon that youthful look would turn dark and empty after enduring the torture we both had been put through.
"I won't let anything bad happen to Anisah besides you need to ask her to be your girlfriend"
He playfully punched my arm before leaving the office,
"Also tell manny he's dead" I scoffed at him, them two are always bothering one another.

Walking back to my room I see Anisah on her phone still laying down in my shirt, I would've preferred her naked but she will be soon enough.

She looks cute with her hair all over the place, "hello beautiful" I felt my heart race like I was a teenager in again, "next time I wake I expect you to be here understood" I laughed at her attempt to be commanding "your cute when you try to be intimidating".

Walking over to her I take the covers off and her beautiful bronze legs meet my vision and I've been blessed by such a glorious sight in front of me. I pick her up and she wraps her legs around me. "Let's go shower yeah"
She bites her lip and nods. I carry her over to the shower and place her down, helping her out of her clothes while kissing her pretty face. She helped me with my clothes a smirk on my face when I saw her checking me out. "No funny business mister, I'm still a little sore"
I put my hands up in surrender, "I promise but if you keep looking at me like that I'll have no choice doll"
We step into the hot shower and begin washing one another, it felt natural I liked this I wanted this forever.
"After breakfast get dressed i want to take you somewhere nice. I helped her shampoo her hair while she stood there eyes closed enjoying the free massage. "Hello, did you hear me" still no reply.
I pinched her nipples, she yelled before turning towards me with a slight pink face it was hard to tell but I saw her cheeks redden a little  "hey why did you do that?"
"Maybe next time listen to me" she playfully hit my chest, " I was listening"
I gently pushed her back against the tiles, she looked up at me with those innocent round brown eyes. Fuck me I saw the lust  in them I trailed my fingers down her waist and kissed her soft lips deeply which she allowed and pulled me closer.
Our quick shower turned into two hours under the water.

If only she knew how madly in love I am with her
If only she knew she was my drug
And I was a happy addict.
