Imani woke up to 5 notifications, 3 from Neveah and 2 from Adam.

"3 Missed Calls from Neveah"

Adam: Ofc you can call me Adam, as long as I can call you Imani. Which is a beautiful name btw. Should I pick you up or do you want the address?

Adam: I would rather we arrive together but if you don't feel comfortable with me knowing where you live that's fine😊.

She smiled at the messages, he's so sweet, she thought. She decided to call Neveah back first since she called three times.

"Called me three times for what?"

"Shut up. You have a date today, I'll be over in 1 hour so I expect you to be up"

"Girl who tf-"

Before she could finish her sentence Neveah hung up, she rolled her eyes then sat up in her bed. She almost got up until she remembered Adam also texted her.

"No it's ok! Us arriving together would be perfect, my address is ******* ***** ****"

She locked her phone and left it on her nightstand then made her way to the bathroom. She took a shower, brushed her teeth and washed her face. She took off her bonnet and scarf and stared at her hair in the mirror. She was in need of a retwist.

She had been growing her locs since she was 6 years old so naturally they're very long. The bottom was dyed red, her favorite color. She didn't have any plans today other then the event with Adam. She originally planned on sleeping the day away, but business is business.

She'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited to see Adam again. He was an very attractive man, she was excited and honored that he asked her of all people to come with him.

She could tell that he was a naturally nervous man, she found it cute. But she didn't want him to be nervous around her, she wanted him to be comfortable and relaxed. She sat down on her couch and cut on the T.V to watch some Modern Family. She had recently started watching it and it was already her favorite show.

20 minutes and one episode passed when she heard a knock on the door. She already knew who it was so she didn't bother to get up. Neveah had a key.

"Wow. Thanks for letting me in" Neveah said, voice filled with sarcasm. Imani smiled, "You're welcome" Neveah rolled her eyes sitting next to Imani.

"Today's a big day" Neveah smiled grabbing Imani's arm out of excitement. "Is it" Imani teased. Neveah groaned, "Please don't ruin this for me" Imani threw her head back with an eye roll.

"You never go out, and now you're going out with a man. I'm excited for you bestie" Neveah looked at her with a sincere smile. Imani sighed at how extra her best friend was, "Fine, it's a big day and i'm excited" Neveah clapped her hands.

"Soo..how does he look" Imani dreaded this question, she knew Neveah would freak if she saw how attractive he was. But she was her best friend and they tell each other everything.

She unlocked her phone and pulled up a picture of Adam, Neveah stared at the screen for a quick minute then screamed. "Omg?! It's the guy from mimosas" Imani nodded. Neveah melted into the couch and sighed, "What a perfect love story..I can't wait to tell your kids!"
