Finney spent his entire weekend thinking. By whatever graceful god existed, the boy had resisted the urge to ask her if they had actually just kissed, or if he'd imagined it all.

Fortunately or unfortunately, he hadn't been hallucinating.

Cherry Garcia, a girl who had once been completely unable to recognize him in any context, had kissed him.

When she'd first approached him, ever, he'd been convinced she was trying to make fun of her. But this was genuine, it had to be, right?

Thankfully, he also didn't ask if the kiss was okay. He just kept his mouth shut as she continued to talk like nothing happened.

And when he'd managed to stumble out of the house, she'd smiled and said, 'See you in class, Finney.'

Huh.

So she did know his name.

The bell rang, releasing the students from their mid-day classes.

Finney packed his backpack up, his thoughts lingering on the events of Saturday night. He only stopped when he heard his name called out for the fifth time in a row.

"I like your shirt." Vivienne complimented, with a smile too large to be serious.

Finney knew he was being made fun of, but he replied politely anyway. "I got it from a thrift store." He informed, which made the other girl almost snort.
