For a town with a murderer hanging over it, people sure were excited to gather in a school gymnasium to dance in a crowded room.

Cherry and Finney winced at the loud music pouring from the tall speakers beside the DJ booth.

Except for the fact that they were the only ones who knew of the incoming danger, the gym was actually decorated pretty nicely. Streamers and balloons hung from the ceilings, adding to the colorful lights.

It wasn't like they could tell anyone what was going to happen. They didn't have much evidence and anybody around them could've been V.

"Mia has the letter in her purse?" Finney assumed as he glanced towards the exit of the gym.

A table was placed beside it. Mia and Vance had settled as a lookout, but the rest of them would be taking turns.

"Uh-huh." Cherry confirmed.

Robin had kicked out whoever was stationed at the front of the school to collect tickets. He was taking notes of who was in attendance and who wasn't.

They were just waiting until V showed up. It wasn't a great idea but it was far as they could get their plan with the little context they had.

Finney adjusted his crimson bow tie as he and Cherry began to make the rounds inside the crowd on the dance floor.

He eyed the people around them as they weaved through the couples. Some were slow dancing and some were sneaking off into corners for some privacy.

"This music is horrible." Chanel stated, tugging the top of her white dress up. A glimmering necklace hung off her neck. She definitely got her credit card back.

"It is, but you look great." Cherry commented as she approached with a smile.

"You look great!" Kemani gasped.

"Great enough to join the dance floor?" Cherry took the other girl's hand, surveying her attire. "Or, the jumping floor? Whatever's going on around us?"

"They have no rhythm. Eugh." Chanel gagged, taking Kemani's hand and leading her into the center of the floor.

Finney turned to Cherry. "I'm gonna go get water. Do you want one?"
