Finney approached his front door quietly. He put his hand around the doorknob but immediately stopped. It was probably smarter to check through the window.

"Finney, it's literally just me." said the voice on the other side of the door.

He almost sighed at the sound of Cherry's voice. What on Earth was she doing? Things were getting bad and her late-night visit would only make things worse.

Other people were starting to receive letters, too. None of the victims had a thing in common, but every letter was signed off with that same, stupid red V.

Everybody thought it was Vance but Vivienne was becoming a popular contender. The main purpose of the notes was obviously to isolate Finney.

Who hated Finney more than Vance? Vivienne.

However, during his and Cherry's separation, while the letters were growing more aggressive, Vivienne seemed to be relaxing.

Finney pulled the front door open, using his free hand to rub the sleep from his eyes.

"Are you busy?" Cherry asked, the moonlight glimmering on her face.

Finney squinted at her, his eyes adjusting to the low light. "Why?" He mumbled, trying not to take in her appearance.

"Answer first."

"No, I'm not busy. What do you want, Cherry?"

"Woah. Act like you're excited to see me, at least."

Finney wanted to groan, but he pushed a smile onto his lips as he raked a hand through his tangle of curls.

His voice dripped with sarcasm. "I'm so excited that you came to see me. You being here is the highlight of my night."

"I know, I know. Move." Cherry said, gently pushing him to the side.
