Stevie lay on the couch in her living room, her head resting in Michael's lap, eye's glued to the TV. She wasn't particularly interested in the story of whatever movie was on, but she couldn't look away from the screen, where the two main characters were in each other's arms, their lips locked in a passionate kiss. She couldn't stop herself as she was transported three weeks back in her mind.
The first thought that crossed her mind wasn't about how wrong it was. She could have stopped Lindsey, she could have told him no, but she didn't want to. They had flirted with each other the whole night and when his palm touched the side of her face, she was anxiously awaiting for the moment when he finally pressed his lips to hers. It wasn't a sweet, soft reunion, no, they both clearly wanted to step over the line and she melted into him as soon as his arm wrapped around her and pulled her roughly against himself.
Stevie had another opportunity to end it, when Lindsey took a step backwards and she followed him into his bedroom. She no longer had a problem being in there. They didn't pause, there was no questions like, are you sure. Lindsey stopped when they reached the foot of the bed and sat down, she stood in between his legs, his hands on her hips, her arms loosely hung around his neck as they locked eyes. Maybe there was an unspoken, are you sure, in his, but she leaned in to kiss him again and she ended up on top of him in a matter of seconds.
Stevie caught herself, when a quiet sigh passed her lips, remembering Lindsey's hands roaming her back, while she held his face in her much smaller ones and teasingly bit into his bottom lip right after he gave her a playful slap on the ass. She felt him grow hard under her and she guessed, that was the moment, when she realized they were not supposed to be doing that. She slowed them down, but she didn't have to explain. He smiled up at her, pecked her on the lips and they ended up side by side with nothing else to do but to close their eyes and hope sleep came quickly before either one of them mustered up the courage to ask questions.
"Are you falling asleep?" Michael asked, beginning to gently comb her hair with his fingers.
"What?" Stevie turned and looked up at him.
"You're making those purring sounds, which you do right before you fall asleep." Michael explained, moving his arm lower, he draped it around her waist.
"Oh, uh... I must have started to doze off." Stevie nodded with a nervous laugh.
"It's getting pretty late." Michael yawned is of on que. "We can finish watching this in bed." He said and shifted in his seat, making Stevie move off him as well.
As they were making their way upstairs, Stevie was still hung up on that night at Lindsey's and why hadn't he pushed them over that same invisible line again.
