{THE DATE!!}

maliea's pov

Friday, September 2, 2:54 pm {FINNEY'S DAD'S CAR]

Finney and I got into his dad's car, I sat in the middle while Finney sat on the left of me. Met his little sister he always seems to talk about. 

"Hi, I'm Maliea, assuming you're Gwen?" She nodded her head giving me a warm smile turning towards Finney smirking at him, he was staring at me... 

After 20 minutes we arrived at the rink. "Woah.." I blurted out looking up at the big sign with flashing rainbow lights, Finney laughed. We headed towards the booth to grab our skates. "Is now a bad time to tell you I have never skated in my life?" I grabbed my skates and laughed with Finney. "I'll teach ya!" He suggested. Confused about how to tie the skates, he offered to help me. He's such a gentleman- I thought before Finney stood up putting his hand out for me to hold onto. I grabbed it carefully standing up. We went in smiling and laughing at one another trying not to fall, but then I noticed a man, staring at Finney and me, behind a fake decal bush. He kind of looks like the man Mya was describing at the park. 

FLASH a camera went off. 

Finney noticed I had become anxious and squeezed my hand tighter. "Wanna go get some food? My dad said that their pizza slices are the BEST!" I nodded nervously waiting for him to let go of my hand, but he didn't. I smiled at him "Can I get a pizza slice, with chicken, what do you want babe?" He chuckled when my face filled with blush. "Same thing," I said in response. We waited until our food was ready for pick up and just ate outside on the benches. "Doesn't this place have an arcade?" He nodded, shoving the pizza slice in his mouth while I chuckled. "Come, I'll show you!" He grabbed both my hands and guided me to another part of the gigantic place. "Woah." He gasped at the sight of how big the arcade was. We went in putting money into one of the many claw machines. 

This claw machine is fucking rigged!

We managed to snag one stuffed animal each, but we swapped ours just for the fun of it. Then Finney stared at me for a long period, never letting our eyes break. His eyes shimmered in the lights, "Love, it's almost closing time here. I'll tell my dad to drop us off at the apartment complex." I nodded. The car ride home was silent, nobody spoke until Finney whispered to me. "I enjoyed that," He smiled. "Hm, enjoyed what?" I whispered back "the arcade He whispered. "I enjoyed it as well, I'm not going to lie, it was the most fun I've had in a while. Well, other than hanging out with my squad." I looked back at him with a smile. He grabbed my hand on the seat, placing it in his. We made it back to the apartments just in time. 

It was fucking midnight but yeah. 

Finney walked me to my apartment holding my hand skipping down the hallway towards my room. We hugged tightly and attempted to make a handshake. "Hey, you remember Mya? Well, she invited me on a double date with her and her boyfriend. Would you like to go with me as my plus one?" I asked with a smile at the end. "Heck yeah! Where are we going?" He asked in a hyped voice "going to get milkshakes, and then bowling!" I said while smiling.
