Friday, September 23, 5:08 pm {bus stop}
Finney and I were at the bus stop, chattering away waiting for everyone else to arrive. We still had a good ten minutes to spare before the bus arrived.
"HEY" Mya called over waving her arms around while Dimitri and Corbin were talking about something.
"You guys ready!?" Mya squealed giving me a high five.
"Ready as we'll ever be!" I chuckled cheerfully. We all started talking about the dumbest shit ever, Mya lost her shit and started laughing like there was no tomorrow. Finally, we all were calming down, the bus pulled up.
"YEAH, LET'S GO GUYS!" I hollered walking towards the bus. We all got a seat on the bus, Me and Finney sat together at the back. While Mya and Dimitri sat in the middle seat together, and Corbin settled down in a seat across from them. A few stops later, a set of twins got on a boy and a girl. Identical? Hm.. Strange. I thought as I turned my body toward Finney, who was also looking puzzled.
"Did you see those two?" I murmured over to Finney
"Yeah, identical twins." he quietly added.
"Mhm." I bobbed my head slightly. I overheard Mya laughing so I looked over to them, Corbin had a stupid look on his face while Mya laughed at it, miss girl laughs at the dumbest shit, not gonna lie. I thought this as I slowly turned back toward Finney as he exhaled
"I hope nothing goes wrong today..." I mumbled over to him.
"Yeah." Finney placed a small smile on his face. The bus came to a stop about a block away from Vally's Fun Fest, we all hopped off the bus walking towards the street that the fun fest is on.
"Today would be outstanding with Savanah here..." Mya whispered just loud enough for us to hear, sounding like she was trying not to breakdown.
"yeah..." everyone said instinct, it has only been a week since Savanah has passed, almost all of us act as if we were over it, Mya holds the grief and regret of not trying to help her out more, she also felt as it was her fault, I know she tries to hide it she practically had something about Savanah posted on almost every social media every other day, like little quotes that she thinks Savanah would like or something like that. Mya swapped arms that were holding her small brown and pink backpack, and she started hurrying down the sidewalk to get to the fun fest she pulled out money so we could get in and wristbands
"how many?" we heard the lady at the stand ask
"Five" Mya said looking back to the group than looking towards the lady again
"that will be 46 bucks and 6 cents" Mya handed the lady the money
"would you guys like the all-day bands?" asked the lady, mya nodded
"that will be an extra 10 bucks" the lady said. Mya handed a twenty over to the lady and Mya called us over one by one, Finney being last while Mya gave him a dirty look when he walked away and then got her band
"Let's go!!" Mya said heading onto the fun fest grounds.
"What should we do, we need a plan on how long we go on rides until we get food??" Corbin asked as we started to walk around.
"How about we go on rides for an hour and a half then get food" Mya suggested. Everyone agreed with it and start to wander towards the rides.
"Wanna do the swings?" I ask the group,
"YES" Mya exclaimed rushing towards the swings and slowing down to look over to a roller coaster
"IM GOING ON THAT ONE LATER!!" she squealed with excitement.
"Who wants to go with me after the swings??"
"I'll go," Corbin offered as we reached the swings.
"ALRIGHT!" Mya quickly nodded. The line moved somewhat fast, we were at the front in under ten minutes.
"WOO" Finney hollered "Maliea IS SITTING WITH ME!!" Finney threw his hands up, walked to a double swing where there was a larger seat, and held the bar up so I could sit down.
"YEAH LET'S GO!!" Mya slightly screamed as she got into a single seat right in front of me and Finney, and Dimitri to the other one-seater next to Mya. Corbin sat behind me and Finney. As the ride starts to go up into the air Finney wrapped an arm around my shoulder throwing the other one in the air. "WOOO" He called out. After that, everything moved in slow motion on that ride my gaze at Finney was powerful and full of feelings. His hair flew in the wind, and his brown eyes glossed when the sunlight hit them. He is one of the most beautiful boys I've ever seen my train of thought was cut short by the ride stopping.
"COME ON Corbin !!" Mya screeched as she booked out of the ride and towards the roller coaster stopping in her tracks "Woah... GUYS LOOK" she called over we all headed towards her to see a flyer.
